Reviewed 20 December 2013

The Kalaram temple is an old Hindu shrine dedicated to lord Rama in the Panchavati area of Nasik city in Maharashtra, India. It is probably the most important Hindu shrine in the city. The temple derives its name from the statue of Lord Rama that is black. The sanctum sanctorum also houses the statues of goddess Sita and Lakshmana. As said It was built around in 1788.The main entrance has a Lord Hanuman deity which is also black. It's a religious faith that derive you there..

“Good temple”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Didn't understand the importance of the temple. The only reason why we visited the temple was its proximity to Panchavati.

The best parts - The temple is well maintained clean and very peaceful despite the crowd, the idols are easily visible from a distance.

The bad part - No proper parking space close to the Temple
