Review of Brahmagiri Hill

After a steep trek of over 45 mins followed by taking to close to 200 steps, we reached the summit of this hill to get a glimpse of the source of the holy Godavari river. It was a visit worth it. A word of caution,...monkeys perched near the hill are quite violent & have a tendency to snatch away virtually anything that you may carry in your hand. So please be very very careful especially to elderly people.

The place (origin of godavari) is reachable via your vehicle + approx 2 km trek (easy one). One of the best places to visit in Trimbakeswar. The scenic beauty atop the mountain is just marvellous. We took nearly 200 photos in the place.

Though very challenging it is a place , worth spending a few hours Trekking. The location is so divine that you will enjoy every moment after reaching the top. The route is very picturesque. We can see the entire triambak city en route. We can see the starting points of godavari with small temples built around them ,here we can offer our prayers.

The starting location is actually situated on the other side of the mountain which we all view
while reaching triambak.

Trip Advices : Steep Climbing at places, even though there are iron rods for support, Lots of monkeys on the way (keep your valuables away) .Take a backpack with water and food items
(It will take around 4-5 hours )

Guides will be available at the bottom ( Old guys who can give u lot of information about the place)
