It was a mixed experience. When we arrived at around 7 in evening, we were told that our pre-booked rooms were not vacant, hence we were upgraded to executive suites for one night, which was just wow..appreciate that.
However, there was nothing which was pleasant post this. Next morning when we were about to go out, we checked if need to shift to different rooms and vacate the suite. We were told that rooms are ready and we can shift before we go out. When we asked for the room numbers where to shift, they keep asking us to wait for 10 mins each time we asked them. They gave us one room after 2 hours, and kept repeating "10 mins" further on for the other room. Finally, irritated we told that we are keeping all our luggage in one room and going out, and they should give the room in evening when we returned. Not surprisingly, they were happy about our decision to leave them alone !! ( btw, we got another room in the evening when we returned)
Another incident, the heating system in one of the rooms had trouble, and they did not inform until we asked them in the middle of the night. They promptly offered to give a room heater instead, which never arrived ! Had to spend night in cold which a 7 month old baby.
In the other room the mini fridge was stopped working, and had to call house keeping 2 times in 1 hour, before fixing it myself (the power plug behind it was loose).
The moral is that don't expect anyone to help you..they keep promising and then keep forgetting it. Could be they are short of staff or the staff is untrained.
Overall, average experience.

There was a genuine problem with the room heating which was sorted out by our team.

When we arrived around lunch time, our rooms were still not ready! That was disappointing. Decided to have lunch while the room was being readied. The food was excellent and our disappointment started fading. We were the upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, our exeprience was very good except for the time taken to call a Radio Cab...was always delayed!! Watch out for that if you need to be somewhere on time.

Services average. Room was good. Location good. Overall good stay. Only next room playing TV and you have to bear the sound.
Rates offered were quite reasonable. What more you need..........

I visited this hotel couple of times. Food is just brilliant. I asked chef Amit to recommend some nice dish of chicken, he brought chicken soup nd later chicken dish in main course. It was just super. Thanx to Amit chef. He is a star. I would like to thanx hotel staff especially Mr Jagbir in restaurant. The way he gives attention is good. The ambience is great. I would definitely visit again nd will recommend to my friends for sure..

I had a teerible experience from Check in to check out. Some examples are
Check in Time - The waiter serving welcome drink is standing next to you either looking for tip/ He is in hurry to collect the glass back. He had no patience and collected the glass back even i had not finished it.
There is always unwanted piped music in room, I had to ask many times how to stop. Ultimately i had to yell for stopping it.
Complementary breakfast not given as i reached hall at 1030 AM and there is no feeling when i complained at reception.
They checked my room three times before giving me check out cleaence as if i am stealing some thing.

Room Tip: Avoid this hotel in all together.

The hotel shall be classified as a 5 star hotel. I have travelled to amritsar more then 7 times in four years staying in big hotels such as holiday inn, hyatt and best western.
Hospitality upon check in with a welcome drink was good.

Rooms and wash room is above par of 4 star hotel.

Buffet Breakfast was very good with a wide spread of food and fresh juices.

The hotel is 5 km from golden temple, transportation of auto rickshaw will cost u from rs 100 to 150. Do not stay hotels too close to golden temple as they are in pretty bad shape ( saying it based on experience). This hotel is away from the crowd and noise. To locate it, its very easy its oposite of best western and 2 stones throw from holiday inn.

TIPS : Earning in india is tough, so keep small change for tips for the bell boys and the door guards as a token of appperciation.


Will highly recomend this hotel to everyone. And my opnion wont go wrong as a top contributor of trip advisor.

Checked in the hotel on Saturday. A slight change of plans meant I reached Amritsar much before the check in time. A call for an early check in was honored which means a lot to someone who has driven down 500 kms stretch and needs to rest. The staff is ever smiling and proactive. Parking space is adequate with cleaning available on request. The buffet was disappointing though with a minimal spread. However, the staff's willingness to make sure you had a good breakfast made up for it. The location is excellent. Not too near to the old city nor too fat. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure trip. Rating a well deserved 5 stars.
