Its a lovely restaurant just before wagah. Border. We opted for vegetarian options and aam ka panna and chaas for drinks. It was all delicious. The place was busy but clean. They had a few of Pakistani dishes on the menu. Great going

Just a kilometre inside from the Wagah Border is this restaurant. The architecture of the building stands out in the flat landscape of the area. The live kitchen and the seating arrangement makes the place interesting. Their Menu card even has a map of Lahore !
The Tea-time snacks were average but one should not miss out on the ‘Lahori’ lassi. It is thick and less sweet . Then there is a ilaichi chai which is good and aromatic. I guess Moghlai dishes would be good be we stopped for tea.
There is a bar attached which displays some good brands of whiskies.
But the most enjoyable part of visiting the restaurant is the lilting music . The restaurant was playing some music from Pak Coke studio . Having just seen the Wagah border parade and looking at the Pakistanis on the other side of the gates, one feels that there is just no difference between Indians and Pakistanis on the whole. The same stock of people.
Parked outside in the compound were some trucks and vans displaying the quintessential Pakistani truck art.

This place has some decent restrooms – so for those wanting to use them before or after witnessing the Wagah Border parade – a visit here would be convenient.

An interesting restaurant to visit en route to Wagah Border or on the return.

The place is very beautiful and the last eating joint just a km before the wagah border, but the good things just end there. Definitely not one of the places you would like to have a special meal. The service is super slow probably because they are quiet understaffed. The food which I expected would have Indian and Pakistani cuisine was there but not very nice, tried what the waiter said was there speciality and it was way below average. Overall not a place to waste your time specially because you get better food than that anywhere in Amritsar.

This place is a real discovery.

This is an amazing place - just next to Wagah Border (probably 2-3 mins before the final point)

Amazing Indo-Pak food - beautiful building - lovely seating on the first floor. There is a live kitchen too. Also figured that its a fully licensed bar - and best of brands were available (Single Malts, Black Label et al)!

Finally there was good shopping for the the wife - they had Pakistani designer suits and some handicraft. The kids had a good time at the park.

So essentially something for everyone.

I visited here with my wife whilst traveling around northern India.
She had booked a table for us and highlighted we were from abroad and that it was my birthday.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left - the food and service was just incredible.
They recognised us immediately (no idea how) and proceeded to walk us to a private dining area upstairs where the manager (who spoke perfect english) was our personal waiter for the night.
The food was absolutely amazing amongst the best we had in India and the stuffed paneer is something everybody should try.
At the end of the meal - they even had presents for us - amazing and well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
I have eaten all over the world in cheap and expensive places but this was one of my best dining experiences.
