From the minute we walked in the lovely welcome, aroma, soft chanting simply blew me away. Having travelled so much and stayed in the top hotels I think this small haveli stay made my holiday memorable.
The staff are efficient and caring, the room was lovely- large windows, tub, and clean sheets.
The spa was blissful.
Try the roof top dhaba food its best ever tikkas and kulcha.
Thank you Mansi, Deepak and Navdeep for making us feel at home and yet so professionally handled.
WIll definately recommend.
P.S- will miss the haveli pet dogs.

I was hoping for a relaxing start of the new year, and i must say svaasa has stolen the show... the property was very peaceful, the beds were comforting, the staff always ready for service, and the spa services fabulous. All in all my stay was very soothing.

I happen to stay at the Amritsar property recently. Honestly the place is nice, clean but if you looking for only the place. Location is good, but if you are an early bird.
Everything at the hotel shuts down at 9:30PM in the hotel. No Bar, No television, so you have to ensure your kids sleep on time. Your kids will get cranky in sometime. The way to the room is also not so spacious specially the stairs.
You have to hold your kids.
SPA- Not worth honestly. Seen better & much more cost efficient.
Food- Ok.
Service- Slow. Have to give reminders again & again.
Wash rooms are small. Rooms have an extra sitting room which is not required actually as there is no television or AC in summers in the same room.
You can actually hear conversations in the next room. Ya that’s kind of interesting if you don’t have a television in the room.

This hotel is in a quiet area, not far from the Golden Temple. It is a large rambling building of red painted brick, giving it more the appearance of a barracks than a hotel. It obviously had an interesting history, born out by the collection of photographs and memorabilia around the reception area. Our room was on the first floor, approached by outside steps. It was a large room of painted plaster, quite poorly lit and consequently looked a little grubby. It had a large comfortable bed and an eclectic collection of furniture. The bathroom could only be described as DIY design and build, but at least it all worked. You also need your sink plug here.

The small restaurant has a courtyard for alfresco dinning, and dinning inside is candle lit, which gives a warm intimate feel. Food is served buffet style, with eggs cooked fresh for breakfast. The local organic jams can be highly recommended but otherwise the choice is limited.

The hotel boasts a Spa and promotes organic products, dietary supplements and treatments to ‘cure all ills’. My wife had a foot massage and pedicure, which she thought was the best she had ever had.

The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient, though Amritsar is a border area, so there is more form filling and information required than normal. Just don’t forget to bring your passport.

If you get the opportunity, do get to see the 5pm flag lowering ceremony at the border. You will not forget it.

The garden, reception area, courtyards and public areas were lovely and a great place to escape to after a busy day in the city area. Our room was a Svaasa suite. There was lots of space and both a shower room and a bath room. The shower tended to flood a bit as the shower curtain wasn't long enough. The bed was firm but reasonably comfy. Like many hotels in India, it was hard to open the curtains and our view was just of the courtyard. This hotel was probably the most expensive we stayed in during our stay, and was maybe not the best but I would still go back there because I value character and don't want to stay in a bland 5 star hotel. The food was fantastic - some of the best I had in India. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the front desk staff.

A nice old building, being gradually restored, in a quiet garden setting with a variety of courtyards and terraces to rest in sun or shade. A good restaurant with friendly staff, and a spa providing a variety of services. Quality of rooms variable but those which have been restored are fine, with all mod cons. Generally a pleasant place to stay away from the bustle of Amritsar.

We had the South Court Room which was very pleasant - nicely furnished and with the most wonderfully comfortable beds which makes a lovely change in India! The common areas were lovely - very tastefully laid out - with a perfect heritage feel. We especially liked the hotel's outdoors areas and the seating on the room.
The service was a little hit and miss - some of the staff were excellent, others didn't quite know what to do - I felt this was more of a management issue as opposed to a problem with the staff as they were all trying very hard but didn't know quite what was expected of them. Also tour prices in the room were out-of date (expired in Sept!) and I felt this was something that could easily have been remedied and let the hotel down somewhat.
Breakfasts were very good although buffet dinner seemed to be catering more for the western package tourist and didn't tickle the taste buds as we found Punjabi cuisine did elsewhere in town.
One amusing aside - yes there are safes in the rooms - but they are not attached to anything and so any aspiring thief could walk away with the whole safe!!!
