One of the iconic street shops serving strong black tea, omelttes and toast and much gossip. A popular stopover for morning walkers and tired travellers in the midst of traffic chaos.

This place was recommended to us. It is famous for its omelettes, samosa, tea and Toast butter. The put a slice of butter on your toast. It is not for people who want to visit very clean and hygienic places.

Giani tea stall is about a km from amritsar railway station. Hard to find a bit. While walking around amritsar, i just found this restaurant on the way so i decided on spot to try it.

It was early morning around 9 am or so, many locals sitting outside and having their breakfast. I just walked in and ordered 'BADA Omelette' (bada = big). Omelette was nice, it had in-build bread and i think 2-3 egg's used to make it. Just after omelette, waiter served tea (without ordering) It was very tasty was unique to me. I never had such a unique tasting tea before. Total bill was Rs 60.

Seating area was not that good. But for the omelette and tea this restaurant is must try.
