Good hotel, friendly staff.Rooms are very neat.Very good food.
Most interesting feature is it is very close to Golden temple, and from terrace very nice view of Golden temple.I found all that was mentioned in my telecon while booking the room.Good value for money.

Room Tip: May be you can ask for room with window facing the temple.

The proximity to golden Temple made it easy for us to choose them. Now such proximity comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. The advantage was that we saved time and didnt have to drive through the chaotic traffic but disadvantage was that city area is cramped and to build so many rooms in that cramped space, the management overlooked one key aspect, that is proper ventilation. They could not help it I guess. But then they have tried to make it up in the amenities they provide inside the room like the kitchenette, showers, room service and the rooftop restaurant. All in all a satisfactory stay.

Good roof top view from the hotel.
very small but very clean rooms .
location is the main USP this hotel is bang in front of golden temple.
survice was also nice.
must have a meal at 'keser da dabha' near by --The best and the oldest dabha in amritsar

Room Tip: take the temple view room on the first or the second floor only.

The proximity to the Golden Temple was the biggest pro. The hotel looks a bit run down and is not the cleanest but the staff was very friendly and helpful. They regularly changed the sheets and cleaned the room (though the sheets were a bit dodgy!). The Super-deluxe rooms are supposed to offer view of the Golden Temple but we did not see anything from our room on the second floor, these rooms were slightly bigger than the Deluxe rooms though.
Food was average but do not miss the view from the roof top restaurant.

The best part about the hotel was its location and the views of the Golden temple from the rooftop. It is pleasant but overpriced for budget accommodation. Our room was requested because of its view of the temple but the room was cramped and the view was much better from the rooftop. The room had been freshly painted possibly as a result of previous reports. The location is superb as visitors will want to spend time at the remarkable Golden Temple - please have a meal there and participate in community activity such as washing up, preparing vegetables, cleaning around the water tank - it will really enhance your experience. It is also very close to the site of and moving memorial to the unforgivable, cold blooded, colonial massacre of unarmed civilians at Jallianwala Bagh. We also enjoyed a walking Heritage tour of the old city run from the town hall, which is not marketed by hotels as they get no commission. Amritsar is worth at least 3 full days as you may also want to travel the 45 minutes to the Wagha border with Pakistan to witness the bizarre nationalist theatre of the daily border closing ceremony.
The staff were helpful and friendly and there are some good restaurants nearby.

This is one of those budget hotels. Recommended only for backpackers or for people who just need a room to sleep for a night or two.
Pros: Proximity to the Golden temple and jallianwala baug. Amazing view of the Golden temple from the hotel's rooftop restaurant which is good for basic food. Friendly staff at the reception.
Cons: Rooms are strictly okay. Don't expect it to be luxurious.

We booked the luxury room with views ot temple. Huge waste of money, the view is not great at all, you can barely see the top of the roof of the Golden Temple. And the room was TINY. This was the filthiest room we had in three weeks in India. It also was incredibly damp. This probably was once a nice hotel, but they let their standards go completely. The staff tried to be helpful, but they just didn’t know what to do. The view from the rooftop is great, but that’s about it. This hotel shows what difference it makes if the owners are actually there to manage the hotel on a daily basis. We would certainly not stay here again, maybe the more expensive hotels at the edge of the old city are better. (Apparently a new Ramada just opened a few hundred yards from the temple.)

Room Tip: Don't waste money on the rooms with a "view".
