This being my 1st visit to Bharatpur , i researched well before selecting this place.
With help of lonely planet's India and Trip advisor , one could really rule the world!
Within minutes of entering this space i took pride in selecting this guest house for upcoming 4 days stay in Bharatpur.

-our sunfilled rooms were clean and ready.. my friends were doubtful in picking the non-ac rooms.. but, within an hour (6ish) the sun went down and atmosphere became much cooler.
This place is great BUDGET option for those who like open/airy spaces amidst nature minus luxury of room service.

-. Owner's wife cooked and served with constant smile on her face! Combo of pakoras and chai ( just perfect) was served in 15mins. All fresh!
-one could enjoy food ( very moderately priced) in dining hall, open garden or rooftop/ veranda.
-after 6pm mosquito repellant cream is must if u plan to enjoy your food and chilled beer under open sky.

-bird sanctuary is merely 10mins walk from here.

Overall experience of Bharatpur was enhanced by staying at this place.

One MUST visit this place homely , hygienic food even if u are in bharatpur for single day!

Room Tip: Room no.5 and 6 , upstairs are definitely more spacious and u get privacy beside, enjoying moon risi...

I stayed here in May, at one of the hottest times of the year, and was the only guest. I was really impressed by the clean rooms, the friendliness of the owners, and the great food all for an incredible price. Highly recommended.

Arrived very early in the morning and right from the start the wonderful owners were hospitable, warm and couldn't do enough for us. As we are in India out of high season we were the only travellers there and was peaceful with birds singing in the garden as we sat on our own porch. Rooms were clean and basic and comfortable. The home cooked food was delicious and was just a wonderful experience. Were sad to leave after our 3 days stay as it was like a haven for us. Thank you so much for being a one of many highlights on our trip so far.

Highly recommended! This place was so friendly. It's run by a really kind and welcoming family. When we arrived they offered us a very clean and comfortable room for a very low price so no need to haggle at all. They make your food to order and it's incredible! They grow a lot of their own vegetables in the garden and make a brilliant range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. Best thing is that they love birds and wildlife and can help answer your ID questions. Best place for wildlife enthusists or just people looking for a good place to stay and great value for money too.

We stayed 9 nights at the Jungle Lodge and it was one of the best guesthouses we stayed in during our 3 months in Rajasthan. Our room was very comfortable with lots of storage and a great shower. We also had a large balcony with daybed, table and chairs overlooking the garden. Many a lunch we enjoyed there in the sun. We ate all our breakfasts and dinners in the dining area superbly cooked by Indu and Depaarli. Ashok, Indu and Depaarli have all the experience to make this an excellent choice of accomodation. Nothing is a problem as they go about tending to the many requests that visitors make. They are very relaxed and never place you under any pressure. They understand what excellent service is. We used the Jungle Lodge as a base to visit Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Deeg and the Keoladeo National Bird Park. Buses were frequent and easy to catch for all our trips. We were in town for the Brij Festival which was as good as anything you will see. If you want a genuine budget place to stay with great facilities and service then we recommend the Jungle Lodge.

Our party of three foreigners and one Indian stayed here in January 2013. Great value clean and simple rooms situated around a neat well kept garden. Nice hot showers available at any time. The family are very welcoming and always obliging. Good home cooked food. Walking distance to the national park. Won't stay anywhere else if I come back to Bharatpur.
