This bridge is truly something of a marvel. It’s span across the sea is something one can’t fathom until one steps out on it. It’s beautiful at sunset, with the boats out for fishing and the train track on one side and sea on both sides. It’s breathtaking!

This is one of the most unique attractions in India. Sitiuated in Rameswaram, A collapseable bridge with 2 seas on either sides. The middle opens up to accomodate large ships. It has a great view and is worth going to. My only problem was it was very windy but that may change according to weather.

Very important place when you enter and exit Rameshwaram. The name is derived because it connected to Pamban Island. The most amazing part is when bridge opens to give way to ships and closes so that trains can reach Rameshwaram. Don’t miss to capture the whole island. If lucky you can also see peacock dancing.

The place has only historical value and offers nothing much to see. Also it is infested by housefly's which get into your car and it is very difficult to get them out.

We passed through this bridge 2 times during entry and exit Rameswaram.
A century old plus rail bridge and still in working condition.A real piece of Engineering.
Kudos to the people working day and night to repair and keep the bridge functional.

For the moment when a boat, train & we at road all at same time:)
When you really feel something extra ordinary & unique at least for me it's first timer in my 5+times travel to Pavan:)

It is main connectivity with mainland, at first glance will be gone with spread of water around you, even before reaching the bridge, nice view while approaching, specially narrowing down main land. There should not be stop over on the bridge, but people stops on bridge, and lead to occasional traffic deadlock, and police need to clear it up.
Overall it gives you nice scenic view, can spend ` 10-15 min max.

On the way to Rameshwaram from Madurai stopped for couple of mins to just enjoy the beauty of this bridge.
We experienced like we are leaving India and entering an isolated island via this bridge.

Unfortunately couldn't see a passing train from this bridge but the experience was great that we had while standing on bridge.

the history and the present views make up for the lack in regular train connectivity. its always overwhelming to see creations of man and nature together...
