“Brilliant stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014 via mobile

This is such a wonderful, cozy, clean and beautiful hotel. The room was big and it has an awesome bathroom with an outdoor shower. The swimingpool area, located next to the river, is perfect for relaxing and the cafe serves delicious breakfasts! Also, it has its own tuktuk that takes you anywhere you want and whenever you want!

The staff were very helpful and they spoke good English. They gave us very good recommendations of restaurants, transportation, and the private boat ride they suggested was top-noch (and you start from your own dock!). The room was big and nicely designed. We also had a private terrace overlooking the river and the Wat accross the river. very pretty in the night. Very good location and the breakfast was very nice. Very nice pool overlooking the river.

A thing to improve, though, we did not have mosquito net in our room, eventhough the room is equiped with air conditioning, it's a bit hard to prevent the mosquitos from coming, since it's located near a river. Make sure you ask for a room with mosquito net. Wifi was strong in common areas but a bit shaky in our room.

Overall, it's a very nice place to stay in Ayutthaya, quiet and great for relaxing.

Room Tip: Choose a room with river view and ask for a room with a mosquito net.

Stayed here on a recommendation of a friend and wasn't disappointed. Nice rooms, good swimming pool, and location by the river. Very good breakfast too! Good value for the price paid. Not sure what the standard rates are, but we were pleased with walk-in rate we received.

The stylish individuality of this hotel is not apparent when first approached from the road and presents a very welcome surprise. From reading other reviews, it is obvious that the rooms are unique and vary considerably from the large rooms overlooking the river with private deck to the courtyard view we had which was rather restricted in outlook. However, this did not detract from the other qualities of the room which were pleasing. The beds were comfortable, the AC 'enthusiastic' and the mini bar well stocked with complimentary water as well as tea/coffee. The decor was of the highest standard, tastefully achieved and there was other considerate additions like an umbrella, gowns and flip flops, 'in room piped' music system as well as CD player and burning coil to ward off mosquitoes in the evening. My only criticisms are of the bathroom: the design of the bath, raised in its surround means any water from the shower which went over the edge of the bath ran around it quickly onto the floor and the towels, which were very thin and had seen much better days!

Breakfast, for us taken in the courtyard, was a treat. None of your buffet style here but served pleasantly by an obliging young man, in full, to the table. An excellent breakfast including made to order eggs, the omelette was excellent, toast and real marmalade, fresh fruit and the coffee was spot on! (Also noted that the tomato ketchup available really was Heinz!)

Our stay was only for one night unfortunately and I understand other people's comments about the lack of storage space for clothes etc in the room if staying for longer. However, we enjoyed our brief stay, the quirky individuality of the place, the extremely pleasant staff and location which was very convenient for many of the historical sights.

Room Tip: Be prepared to pay more for a good room with a view.

We got the last room at the hotel. It is nice, spacious. There is an amazing pool that overlooks the river and temples. Good location to restaurants with grilled river prawns (noms!). Friendly staff and great breakfast! Would recommend to anyone.

We stayed here as part of a tour group and were surprised when we arrived as we hadn't been expecting such quality. We were lucky enough to have the Ok-Kun room which was simply sensational. The largest of all of them, on the river, with it's own private deck and plunge pool nearby. We booked two massages which we were able to take in our rooms. There is a little bit of noise due to construction happening next door, but this won't be long lived, and it only occurs during the say, when we were out anyway. Night time was super quiet.

Room Tip: if you can afford it, ask for Ok-Kun

My wife and I stayed her for two nights and loved the informality of this small hotel. Do not be put off by the entrance and small courtyard just off the road; the beauty of this hotel lies in the location, the rooms and setting on the river with great views of Wat Phutthaisawan. Our room was amazing, really modern, very large with a fantastic bathroom. Outside was a private terrace looking over the river and steps down to the main pool. The only downside was the building going on immediately next to our room, although the builders respected our privacy and we were not disturbed by the noise. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and the staff were so very eager to please. The pool and surrounding area was a great place to relax in the peaceful tranquillity of the river and the shaded terrace close to reception was lovely. Greater care of the wooden furniture was required, although the climate makes this difficult.
A short walk away is the Saithong restaurant which serve great food in a lively atmosphere beside the river.

Room Tip: The more you pay the better the room!!
