Impressive site. Read or bring a book which explains the history of this city and site. Or better, hire a guide. this will make your journey much more interesting.

“Probably the image of Ayutthaya”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

Very nice tempelcomplex , gives a nice impression how the Thai loved the Khmer influence , after all it is a kind of replica of Anchor Wat , but opposite Angkor Wat this temple is just a teardrop , however , it is necessary for the Ayuthaya visitor to visit this temple but would first provide to visit Wat Ratchaburana and Wat Thammikarat to understand everything better , also a good advice , at internet you find a lot of good information of the history of temples surely worth to check it and to print it because the signs which are ther are not very helpfull.

Very interesting legacy of King Mongkut, good ventilation that they knew how to build back then, Beautiful but simple buildings. Nice cool on a hot day.
