We booked this trip for our special occasion as we trust the brand image of the resort after spending time discussing with salesperson at Thai Tiew Thai booth; a travel consumer show in Bangkok. First impression turned out as a nightmare after the resort missed our airport pick up at Trang airport. Even though they finally managed the airport pick up and transfer to the pier, the arrival at the resort did not make up for the first mistake. We have to manage ourselves to the reception counter where the lazy receptionist put our welcome drinks and cold towels on his counter. No warm greetings nor apologies, but asking for our ID for check-in registration and walking us to our beachfront villa (over US$400 per night) with his last words saying that don't forget to keep your shoes inside because there's lots of dogs. The resort landscape is left unattended, full of dead plants and dead leaves. Dinner time, we had chosen to try their western menu and it turned out below average both presentation and taste, only the calamari was acceptable. At night while we were sleeping, there was a strong smell from the bathroom...what an impression on the first day. We asked for an island excursion as we saw in the directory that there are two options i.e. private or joining (4 persons), the same receptionist told us that there is no joining trip only private trip is available at pricy rate so we skipped it as we do not feel comfortable with their services.
Our first breakfast disappointed us again even though we order the simplest dish as fried eggs. We tried to manage our day by renting a long-tailed boat outside for a half-day tour. It went well and we are happy with nearby services. Dinner on the second day went smooth as we ordered Thai menu and they complemented us with a birthday cake. A reservation lady, Khun Nong, showed up and apologized us for the airport pickup. We talked and shared our views about the services that need improvement to justify with the price. We also compliment a few staff at the restaurant(Khun Yu and Khun Noo) as well as Khun Nu who helped us with the luggages. They are a good asset of the resort because of their great service attitudes. The check-out process went okay as there are no rooms for any expectation.
Lastly, we heard that the resort will be closed for renovation 2 months during June to July. We hope that the resort would take this chance to renovate the team and build up a better service mind.

A Magical find ! We asked our longtime travel agents at Andaman adventure inc, where could we still experience a true castaway experience, but in luxury pretty please. That’s how we found this hidden marvel deep in the Andaman sea. So natural, so quiet, but with all the luxuries we want ( backpacking : been there, done that 20 years ago. No thanx ! )

Our bungalow was just immaculate – beyond fault, on the beach, with the waves’ sounds coming in at night. The staff was super-friendly, but I could say that the meal service was generally slow. You have to get out of the western high-speed mindset to be a castaway ! This hotel stay was part of a longer holiday, it was maybe our finest getaway ever ! thanks seven seas and andaman adventure crews

The big advantage of the hotel is - that there is nothing better on Koh Kradan. The beach is fantastic and the island sooooo beautiful.
But for 300 Usd per night you should expect more than holes in the roof, mold in the room. You don't want to hear what your neighbors talking about as the walls are that thin.
in the description it is said that the room is 61qm. in fact it is max 20qm - but the open bathroom has a little palm grove with app. 30qm. this together with the terrasse in front will ad to 61qm. but the room itself is tiny.
the whole location is dirty and run down.
the food is good but you need time - for lunch at least 90min - for dinner 2 hours. the waiters a friendly but forget at least 30% what you tell them.
the manager sit most of the time in his small office - seldome he creeps through the hotel - without greeting or talking at all.
we enjoyed the beach and the island very much - but will not come back again as there is not good place you can stay.
it all look

Room Tip: The best is to take a regular room - the space is the same as in a villa - but the rates for the room are ok - if you stay at a 300 usd villa it is simple not worth it.

Seven seas resort is located on a small island far from traffic, noise and shopping. The beach at the resort is beautiful and a nearby coral reef allows for a nice snorkelling experience. Food is expensive but good - but go down the beach for other restaurants.

Stayed for 2 nights in February, booked through Agoda just 2 nights before. Room not ready on arrival so waited an hour but given a lovely 2nd row villa. Quirky outdoor bathroom! Huge comfortable bed.
We had a couple of issues with the aircon and the safe wouldn't work but maintenance staff came immediately to fix the problem. The safe( empty at the time) was just carried away and replaced by another! So, not fixed to the wall!
Breakfast was excellent.
Location and snorkelling were superb.
For evening meal we walked towards sunset beach and ate both nights @ Paradise lost resort. Take a torch. Rustic (wear insect repellent), lovely food, huge portions.
