Of all the times Ive been to Thailand Ive always dreamed of finding what i imagined in my head... And this was it! Baan Phue was recommended to us by a traveler one night in Krabi, so my partner and i decided to head off with only a small bit of research and what we found when we arrived was amazing... The Best welcome, service, food and amazing little huts by the beach and although we didn't book and in Hindsight this was a mistake. They looked after us and did the best they could to make sure that we had the best stay possible. The food was some of the best we have both had in Thailand and this made changed our mind about moving on. we stayed 9 nights and could not have wished for a more perfect venue for the last week of the best holiday ever. The staff are warm and friendly and the owner made us feel like we were part of the family (But not over familiar). when the bill came at the end of the 9 days we were both amazed at the value, we drank and ate and bought rounds without a care in the world... and it was great value. i will certainly be going back again and it seems that many of the people that were there when we were there had also been many times before.
Overall its an amazing place, with great food and incredible beach that you cant fault... I cant say enough good things about Baan Phue Lae and i will certainly be back. This time i will be there for Christmas day and New Year...

Just when I thought Thailand was overtouristed and you could not find paradise anymore here....I found it here at Baan Phue Lae! Perfect location, great spacious room, superb staff, excellent food and very child friendly! I loved it from the moment I arrived. The rooms were clean. It is a little out of the way but there are 3 or 4 places to eat within walking distance if you want a change from the fantastic restaurant they have. We had one of the airconditioned bungalows, which was perfect for 2 adults and a child or even for 2 adults and 2 small children.
I would definitely come back.
Thank you so much for a fantastic week!

Room Tip: The basic non airconditioned rooms down the front are considerably cheaper and closer to the beach b...

Excellent location far from the madding crowd near the southern tip of the island before the national park. They picked us up from the ferry, waiting with a sign,we had prebooked with Agoda.Hill side bungalow with air on,nice and shady, overlooks restaurant with excellent food and service. They even unlocked the safe with our passports in after I messed up the code, very helpful staff.

We didn't actually stay here, we stayed next door at the very similar bamboo bay resort, but we came here nearly every day to their bar and restaurant. The food was tasty (their breakfast is especially good) and the beers and cocktails were good. But what really makes this a great bar to relax in are the staff. They're very friendly and helpful. One night they not only treated us to an impromptu fire show but then they were barbecuing some seafood on some new bbqs they had bought and so came dropping off free food to us every now and then! It's a great location right on the beach as well where you can relax with a beer and watch the beautiful sunset. Even if you don't stay here, I'd fully recommend popping in.

Located on the remotest beach on Koh Lanta the hotel has the most scenic surroundings on the island. There is only one other hotel on the beach, which also means very few tourists in sight. Although the hotel is at the rocky part of the beach, there is a sandy shore in a hundred meters distance. The hotel has a good restaurant with nice staff who speaks little English like most of the locals on Koh Lanta. At the hotel there are two types of bungalows, one facing the beach, and the other on the hillside. The first are more basic but have a fantastic view, as the second are more luxurious, but are lacking the view. We were staying on the hillside and were very pleased with what we got. The bungalow was very spacious and was nicely decorated with paintings and textiles. There was lots of cupboard and shelf space to store clothes and other necessities. The most exciting feature was the glass wall facing the shore. It gave lots of light and gave the room a very spacious feel. On the other side of the glass wall was a big balcony with seating space. Although there was no sea-view, as the surrounding trees were blocking the view, one could still see a glimpse of the shore and the sight of leaves moving in the wind gave great comfort after a day under the sun. The bathroom was basic but clean. As it was a so-called double bungalow with another room right next to others, the speech and actions of the neighbors’ were a little bit too audible. The only thing that went wrong was the laundry service, as our clothes came back a day late and completely ruined. Be aware.

Room Tip: Although the beach bungalows are attractive, the cheaper hillside one´s are also very nice.

Where do I start with this review....... From the moment we rounded the corner and saw the bay we were in love. This place is super relaxed, friendly, beautiful and is run by the best staff we found in Thailand. We booked it because of the brilliant reviews we read and we were not wrong to do so. My only regret was not staying longer. We went up to Kantiang Bay after and it did not compare. The food and drinks are lovely (don't go if you're on a diet as it would be a waste!!!!), and the staff make a real effort to help in every way. They put on a special Christmas day meal and even dressed up a member of staff as Santa!! We stayed in a beach front bungalow and it was the best place we stayed in Thailand. Do not miss out, book this place today!!!!!
