This guesthouse gave us all the classic feeling – no TV, wooden teak floor, no air-condition, hammocks, a view of the sea where local fishermen’s boats catch fish every day in the morning and dig clams in the afternoon when the tide’s low. My boyfriend and I were fascinated how it portrayed an actual throwback to a time where life unfolds on a more personal level.
You would want to walk up to the high street where there are small stores selling vegetables and other items that you might need for your stay there. You will find charming ancient houses on this street. The residents turn them into shops, cafes or restaurants during the day until around 8 or 9 at night. Fresh seafood are easily available as they get them every day from the fishermen’s early morning catch and you can expect the most authentic flavors served on your table in all restaurants on this side.
