The rooms are clean and spacious and are situated around a great swimmingpool, you can skip the beach, nothing but rocks and the restaurant has only a limited part of the menu they offer, there are for instance 5 fish dishes on the menu and a variety of steaks, we couldn't get any of them during our 3 nights stay so we went to the wonderful Cook Kai restaurant, only 10 minutes away from the resort by taxi/tuktuk.

The bar was closed (we stayed there during high season!) so you have to get your drinks at a loket which was very confusing because sometimes there was no staff member there and you had to walk to the restaurant area to ask if they could get someone overthere.

They have a free pendle service by minibus on certain times to Kantiang beach or up north, however, if you want to rent a scooter they send you up the road, when we got there all scooters were hired so what to do next, we walked up the road, after half an hour of waiting in the burning sun finally a tuktuk stopped, that's why it would be so much better if they would check first if there is a scooter available with a call from the reception so you have the opportunity to let them send for a tuktuk or a taxi.

They also reay should have someone to look after the pool for security reasons, on our first day 12 big girls arrived and took over the complete pool, they were screaming and shouting, playing competition games, climbing on eachothers shoulders and then jumped in backwards and they were drinking (glass!!) bottles of beer IN the pool!!

The other guest, even grown ups let alone parents with little children couldn't get into the pool without being jumped all over and these girls got away with it because no one of the staff did warn them and you could even hear them screaming at the reception area so they sure must have noticed it. They also didn't provide pooltowels so you have to use the towels from the bathroom but then you don't have a dry towel when you want to have a shower and have to go over to the reception to get a clean one.

To put it al together, it's such a shame because the resort realy looks lovely, as you can see from my pictures, the restaurant as wel as the pool are great to see, so take care of the menu, put a staf member and a bar at the pool and it would be great, as for now ; not again in my wildest dream(s) team!

It's a nice hotel for the price we paid - $40 per night.
Pros:
1) Staff were friendly. The hotel manager was very nice. He arranged a private tour for us.
2) Food was okay too. I recommend you trying the papaya salad but make sure to let them know how spicy you want. I said mild and it came out ultra spicy! It was still delicious.
3) The beach was nice. I don't know if you can actually swim but the sunset on the beach is amazing.
4) It felt peaceful and private around the resort area.

Cons:
1) I made a mistake of getting a "standard fan" room. There's no AC and the fan was way too loud. We could barely sleep at night because of the noise and the mosquito. It was brutal. There were insects everywhere. I'm a nature lover and even I got quite freaked out at one point. I wonder if the AC rooms were better but I recommend you getting an AC room if you are booking!
2) The beach was fun to walk around (with tons of rocks) but I don't think you can swim there. Comparing to the beaches in Phuket, I'd say this beach is a grade B.
3) We booked a car to the airport in Krabi from the resort and we were told they would stop by a waterfall for us on the way. We left really late as the van we were supposed to take broke down and they couldn't find another van for a while. And they refused to stop by the waterfall as promised. We were taken straight to the airport and it was quite early for us. We ended up taking a cab by ourselves and going to Karabi downtown. I'm glad we did because we got to see the city last min (even if that was for 45 mins)

I'd prob try a different resort next time.

Room Tip: Do not go for the standard fan rooms. Ask for the best room they have since it's all about less...

My first impression was that the reception forgot to clean up after tsunami. Accommodation was good, interesting design bathroom in the open air. The food was mediocre and the service terrible. Everywhere ran a lot of confused employees. They had only half the menu. We were charged for our and foreign food and stay even demanded payment of a foreign account. The sea was a big disappointment. The hotel stands on a rock on the whole rocky beach can not enter into the sea. Staff were very reluctant. The only good service in the resort is massage.

We booked Dream Team through Agoda for the New Year period.

The pool area is quite nice and our garden view bungalow was okay, with a/c and a large bathroom. The unlimited supply of bull ants coming through the air con was entertaining if your partner hates insects.

I can only suspect that Dream Team must refer to a local sports team because the resort staff were anything but helpful. Often uninterested and sometimes rude, their service was seriously lacking. When we were trying to book a flight/train/bus back to Bangkok for our flight home, the old lady at reception told us (after a few calls) that all flights, buses and trains were fully booked for the next 4 days. Understandably this caused some anxiety because we would therefore miss our flight home. I went to the local internet cafe and booked train tickets for the next day.

Ultimately this is an average resort with useless staff. I'd only book here if it was your last option.

After six weeks of travelling in thailand it was à really bad decision to go to 'dream team'. The rooms and THE pool are ok, but nothing special for that price. But the service...it 's looks almost impossible to order something and if you do you have to check and ask or else you get nothing!! What à disaster!!!!'

When you arrive it looks like there is nothing of interest - only a big, empty building by the road far out along the Lanta shore. But of you follow the path down to the complex, you will find beautiful gardens, small bungalows and a great poolarea. We stayed five nights having a double attached bungalow right by the pool, which we found very good - clean and spacious with airconditioning and dayly service. And we payed 2800 bath for both bungalows included breakfast for five. Great value, by my opinion.

There is no beach, but a rocky walk that will get you to a few bars and restaurants. Friendly owners, that made our stay realy nice and pleasant. It was rather empty when we stayed there, and on my past trips to Koh Lanta I have just drove by as the entrance is so dull. But take your time to go down and have a look: Recommended!

Room Tip: The steep-roofed bungalows by the pool were excellent in our opinion.

We stayed at this place for 3 nights after originally booking 1 , we booked through booking.com for a standard fan bungalow (£20. A night with breakfast ) after reading some reviews we weren't sure what too expect !

The hotel came & picked us up free of charge from our previous hotel which saved us 200 bht when we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly lady at the front desk with a huge friendly smile & 2 glasses of cold juice , lovely touch the lady showed us the pool & restaurant before showing us our room ,

The room b11 was directly opposite the reception & really nice massive bedroom with big wardrobe ( complimentary dressing gowns & spair pillows ) the bungalow was very big & had a nice clean bathroom with lovely limestone flooring & wait for it ............ A wall between the shower & toilet so nothing got covered in water when you showered hurrah !! :-)

The pool was quiet & clean with lovely loungers & umbrellas & a slide too.

Complimentary breakfast was lovely tea/ coffee with juice 2 slices of toast with jam / butter , fresh fruit & a choice of breakfast ie egg & bacon !! This fIlled us up for the day !!

The people here & friendly & hardworking , the lady takes time too talk too you & gave me advice on my sunburn a very lovey lady !

They have 4 dogs there which sleep in reception at night if your not a dog lover don't worry , if you are they love a cuddle & the beef biscuits from 7.11 :-)

We hired a scooter from the owners daughter at the end of the road 250 bht a day with helmets very good & new scooters when we took the bike back yet again welcomed wIth a friendly smile & passport straight back , no scam !!

This place is out of the way with not a very good beach but it's quiet with lovely staff , roads are good in Lanta & scooter rental is cheap so no problem !

Also our bungalow was by the kitchen in the evening the kitchen staff cleaned the kitchen very very thoroughly which was lovely too see !

Overall a lovely quiet friendly place , maybe people should think twice before leaving unnecessary pointless petty reviews as they can be damaging too a family run business !!!

10 out of 10 dream team keep it up !
