“A Great Find...”
Reviewed 4 June 2014 via mobile

We are staying at Lanta Sand Resort and Spa. When you come out of the property, and turn right, Cook Kai is just a very short walk away on the right-hand side of the road. It is one of the nicest restaurants I have seen on the island; it's big, open and tidy. We had the Jungle Curry (140 baht) which was new to us. It was tasty. This curry is more soupy than creamy, which is different from the red and green curries we usually have. We also had Pad Kee Mow (85 baht). This isn't listed on the menu, but I asked for it. It was very good. We had the bananas in creamy coconut milk for dessert, (70 baht), which comes out warm. It's wonderful! We are going back in the am to try breakfast. The total cost for these three dishes, one order

“SOOO GOOD!”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

My boyfriend and I decided to go here after seeing it advertised EVERYWHERE on Koh Lanta. I had a glass noodle prawn salad while he had sweet and sour and noodles in some gravy-flavoured sauce. Although I was not a huge fan of the gravy-tasting noodle sauce on his dish, it was all fresh, delicious and delivered very quickly! There was a lot of choice too. The waiter was particularly smiley and quick. We were lucky enough to be here when a huge storm hit and it is an restaurant in a wood cabin type structure on stilts with no walls. I think there are a couple of them on the island but we went to the one near Klong Khong. The rain was coming in the sides and the roof so everyone had to relocate to the back but we remained seated while everyone basically laughed and enjoyed the situation! It was really well priced too; I think it came to about 600THB although we did not have any alcohol. I recommend visiting this place! Nice glow to it and also great for families I'm guessing.
