“Well worth the 'splurge'”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 November 2013

My friends and I stayed at Villa Lanta early November 2013 as a little birthday surprise for a member of the group. What a place, the pictures don't do it justice it looks alot bigger in real life. The female staff member who greated us was really lovely and made us feel very comfortable. The place was serviced everyday, the kitchen was filled with anything and everything you may need, the outdoor bathrooms were so beautiful with lovely japanese-style toiletries. Ahh just bliss. The location of the villas is a little hard to find and pretty uninspiring but you don't even see it from your private paradise. The only thing I'd mention is all the villas sounded (as you cant ever actually see your neighbours) quite close, the noise travels a bit, so if possible ask for a villa that has unoccupied surrounds if you want real privacy. But honestly not an issue compaired to the pros of this place. Enjoy!

Room Tip: if possible ask for a villa that has unoccupied surrounds if you want real privacy.

Really very helpful staff, great location, pool bigger than photos made it appear. Very quiet and relaxing but a short walk up hill to beach. They took care of every request we made, scooter rentals, transfers etc..

Friendly, competent and proactive management on site. Villas were much nicer and larger in reality - the pictures on the Alanta website don't really do them justice. Within 250 m we found lots of facilities: a breakfast place (Peak Cafe) with great cafe latte etc., an excellent restaurant (Kwan's) with fresh seafood (they also deliver meals to the villas), several legitimate massage places, mini-marts, fresh produce, ... and of course the beach. The villas were quiet and offered a lot of privacy and mod cons; everything was clean and neat, while the place maintains a natural garden feel. Great beds.

We preferred Khlong Nin beach (5 minutes and BHT 150, by taxi or motorcycle rikscha) to Klong Kong beach.

We stayed 2 nights in villa Kanika. Love the tranquility of the natural setting & the lush tropical garden surrounded our villa especially our pool. Everything is almost perfect here.

All of us had our perfect beauty sleep in most comfortable bed ever. The assistant gm/supervisor/staffs are all friendly, happy-go-lucky and naturally cheerful (Land of smile). Anytime you in need they will be there indeed :)

Bathroom is open concept which i really like.I had pets during my stay too, such as :A beetle, kinda long fat millipede, a frog hiding in a hole, butterflies, moths and of course mosquitoes.

Villa is furnished in a Balinese style.. and equipped with full kitchen & all the necessary.

Stay here & No regret!

We stayed four wonderful nights at Alanta Villa and wish we had stayed longer! The villas are gorgeous and look even better than the pictures~ We hired scooters from them and explored the island which was lots of fun - but beware if you go into the National Park!! The road winds around and there are no safety barriers, it's very easy to start feeling over confident riding the scooters and my partner fell off and got banged up pretty badly. Luckily we had Aor, the manager who was absolutely lovely and friendly, patching him up after the accident and making sure we were okay :)

The villas are about a 5 minute walk down to the beach and local shops which sell food, coffee and other supplies. The path back up to the villas is well lit and a good short work out.

We have never had a better stay anywhere. The bed was incredibly comfy, the pool clean and our villa was made up everyday. Aor and the rest of the staff were always smiling and we felt so welcome. Cannot recommend this place more, but like someone previously said - don't tell anyone! ;)

We stayed 8 days in Villa Alanta.
Villa is nice, new, clean, well decorated with all the necessary equipment...
Villa is a little far from the beach and need to rent a car or scooter to move to the village
