We have just returned from Lanta and our 13 night stay at Long Beach Chalet. I am already starting to plan our return to such a beautiful island and such a fabulously welcoming, family run resort. Taya, Tam and the mums (and each and every other member of staff) were so wonderfully welcoming to us and our family- taking us to the doctors (and the hospital!), buying little presents for our toddler daughter, giving us interesting extra desserts/breakfast bits and things to try all the time. It is not an exaggeration to say that they made us all feel a part of the family.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, with big comfy beds, good air con and mozzie nets. When we had to switch the air con off and sweat it out because our daughter was poorly Tam sourced a mozzie net for her cot that absolutely made her week!
The pool is beautiful, and carefully cleaned regularly. The landscaping is well done, and as it grows will provide privacy for each chalet.
The beach is a short walk, and at the other end there are good beach bars, massage ladies and the most fabulous sunsets known to man.
I really cannot recommend this place highly enough, but don't be booking it up and messing my plans up for next year- I'll be ever so cross!
PS- there's a Loris that lives in the Durian tree- he's got massive eyes and he's really cute!

Room Tip: There is a bit of road noise, we stayed by the road and it didn't bother us. If you sleep lightl...

We stayed at Long beach Chalet for 5 nights. A very nice and fresh familyowned resort. Very serviceminded staff. (thank you Tham). Not a beachfront resort, but just 2 min walk away. Nice restaurants on the beach as well. Fresh pool, and newbuildt bungalows. We would absolutley come back to the resort.

Just back from Long Beach Chalet Koh Lanta. Where to begin. Homely and very clean chalets, lovely gardens and pool area and fantastic food served at Three mums restaurant. Does this sum up my holiday? No.....
Long Beach Chalet are welcoming on first glance, there is a unique home from home feel to the place. The staff are friendly and helpful and will do whatever they can to help with your holiday plans. Thanks to Poo for organising our trips and to Tam and his team for making our holiday so very relaxing and enjoyable.

The Three Mums restaurant is fabulous and also very welcoming, open air but with a cosy feel. The food was exceptional and service to match. The staff are a credit to Tam and work very hard to make the guests feel welcome.

The chalets were spacious and clean and bright, with comfy beds and Mosquito nets.Pool was great and grounds clean and well kept.
The walk to the beach was pleasant taking a few minutes only. This leads you to a fabulous clean beach which is home to several beach bars/eating places and massage areas. We spent many a day and evening at Focus bar which was friendly and clean.
Long beach is the best beach I have been too, in all my travels. You can relax on it, swim, sunbathe and watch the world go by. In the evening it is a magical scene of lanterns and coloured lights and the atmosphere calmed by people drinking cocktails watching the sun go down.

As you can tell, we loved our holiday at Long beach chalet, and would not hesitate to recommend or return. This place is a real gem of a find, with great staff and good management. Well done to all involved in making our holiday so chilled and enjoyable. Keep up the good work guys.

'How can we improve ?' Now,that was a very difficult question. A bit more light in the bedroom ..er .. mattresses for the sunloungers , being really picky.
And the positives, great clean rooms , varied choice of breakfasts including tasty Thai options. Wonderful evening meals which include hidden free extras,'oh you must try this'.
Lovely swimming pool . A great beach 3-4 minutes walk. Happy hour cocktails, great coffee.
And then you come to the best bit ...... the staff. It would be hard to find friendlier people.
The lady who was picking us up for an overnight camping trip arrived 5 minutes early and was bowled over by the friendliness of the staff.
One night, I dined alone, having explained that my wife was feeling unwell ,probably from a boat trip, one of the 3 'Mums' made up a honey drink and offered ginseng.
Next day ,the staff were asking my wife if she was better.
Look forward to a return visit next year

We spent 3 nights on Koh Lanta Dec 26 - 29 at Long Beach Chalet based primarily on the reviews posted on Trip Advisor. The reviews were bang on. We had a fabulous time! We loved everything about the place, but it was the friendliness and warmness of the owners that was most memorable. We felt more like family rather than guests. We didn't want to leave. The bungalows were nothing short of superb, very tastefully decorated with everything you could want, including a lower relaxation area complete with hammock. The pool too was was very exquisite complete with waterfall. The restaurant food was excellent, with tender loving care by the owner. Ask for her home made caramel jam. It is to die for. The beach is about a one minute walk, and it is on arguably the best stretch of Long Beach, close to many fun bars and restaurants. We will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: The way the property is laid out, I don't think there is a bad room!
