“Great coast.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2014

It has really great sand coast, you will not find any stone around. Sand is white, bars are great, people are smily - it's just a paradise.
It's a real family place. A lot of kids.

“In my opinion, one of the best beaches in Thailand.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014

Best feature is that its very quite and uncrowded beach, and the water is shallow and clear. No salesmen or any other additional uproar but a mere 100% relaxation in Thailand under the sun

“IMHO the best beach on the west side”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014

I checked out Khlong Dao, Long Beach, and Khlong Nin, and in my humble opion, it was the best beach for a family. The beach wasn't rocky, plenty of food and restaurants nearby, and the water was a bit shallow (again great for young kids). Also getting a massage on the beach is a must do!

“Busier and Shallower than Long Beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2014

Klong Dao is more built-up than Long Beach. Hotels, restaurants, and other establishments are placed along it cheek-to-jowl. And after you enter the water, you'll have to walk quite far out before the water is chest-deep. On the other hand, there is a very wide band of hard-packed sand here that stretches a few kilometers and you'll see energetic Swedish parents jogging behind strollers. It's also closer to Saladan--the main commercial center on Lanta--than any other big beach. The visitors to this beach are predominantly older folks and people with young kids.

“Peace and calm on a lovely beach.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2014

Long and wide, sandy tree lined beach with clear waters. Many restaurants, bars, hotels; pharmacy, mini supermarket, even a tailors shop or two and excellent water sports facilities; it is a community in itself. Very relaxing and plenty to occupy your time if lying around, chilling enjoying the sunshine and peace is not enough. I read that this beach is crowded and possibly by comparison with one where you will be completely alone it is but in reality even at height of season it is sparsely populated, mainly by long stay Swedes, with more than enough room for everybody who is there. There are a lot of families on Khlong Dao Beach but at no time during our stay here was it a problem, the place is long enough and wide enough to avoid them all. So take a sunbed at The Indian, walk the beach, swim in the sea, drink cocktails, walk 10 metres for lunch (or have it delivered). people watch and then enjoy a beautiful sunset. Perfect,
