We loved this place and stayed for more than 2 weeks! The restaurant served the best food we have had in Thailand on any of our trips. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The relaxing and jungle-like atmosphere was what made this place outstanding. The beach was a bit rocky but clean and we liked it. We can recommend this to anyone going to Ko Lanta, rather than going to any of the busier beaches further North.

The restaurant has good Wifi but not in the rooms.

Room Tip: We were happy with a B-row bungalow.

We still treasure the memories of the wedding of our son, Tristan to Sophie at the Narima in 2010. So when we found ourselves back on Thai soil, we decided to spend the last few days of a six week holiday there. A perfect end to a wonderful spell in Thailand. The hotel is simple and rustic, quiet, comfortable and relaxing. It's very easy to make the bungalows your home as they are spacious and light with plenty of storage space and a fridge for cool drinks. The verandah has hanging space for washing and a tempting hammock and easy chairs in which to stretch out for a spell of reading or an afternoon siesta. The beach is surrounded by rocks and wonderfully quiet - often we were the only two enjoying a swim or a stroll. The food at the Narima is delicious and every meal was a delight. Cocktails in the bar on the beach after a massage is a wonderful way to start the evening. Exploring the island on the motor scooters which you are able to hire from the hotel is great fun! Some may say that the Narima is not as sophisticated as the numerous international hotels that are springing up everywhere but that is why it is such a gem. Simple, romantic, comfortable with a lovely atmosphere.

We spent a great 10 days at the Narima. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful, the staff friendly and helpfull.
There is no pretention at the Narima. The bungalows are simple but work well. We loved our partial sea view veranda. Mosquito spirals are a must evening time however, but all you need to do is ask for one.
Besides the beautiful view of the pool and the pretty little beach the restaurant also offers excelent food. And evening time the beach bar provides the perfect place from which to view both the sunset and keep an eye on the children as they play on the beach while you sip your drinks.

We long to go back!

The bungalows in the south of Ko Lanta are very beautiful!! it is very calm in the south (to do some party it is better at long beach further north). the bungalows are very clean and big (we stayed in c-row which is much cheaper and as good as a-row). the rooms get cleaned every day and you will receive every day new towels and 2 water. the bungalows have aircon, a fan, a minibar and an balcony. the food in the restaurant is delicious!! the hotel owns his own private beach (to get in the ocean you have to get over some stones first.. but this is not disturbing). the pool is not to big but you have a jacuzzi in addition!!
i just can say that i will come back next year!!

I must've spent 8 hours looking at all the different places to stay on the beaches in Thailand on the Andaman Sea. We were looking for rustic but comfortable, right on the beach, quiet and away from the horde of tourists. We chose Narima. I was a little apprehensive because I had friends traveling with me who'd never been to Thailand, and I wanted them to have a great, comfortable time. I have lived and traveled in Thailand since I was a child, so I knew what can be out there...Narima exceeded all my expectations, and my friends really loved it. Everything there was built with the environment in mind (very rare in Thailand). The location is beautiful and hidden away with the huts amongst all indigenous plants that are not too overgroomed. We even had a troop of wild monkeys visit one morning. The food was amazing and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Everything at the resort was reasonably priced and some of us had massages everyday. We all discussed we really had no reason to leave the resort since everything was so perfect for us. We did leave the resort for several things and found the food could not be beat.

A few comments to help you better know what Narima had and didn't have. There were lots of families with young children (all of whom were polite and thoughtful about those not traveling with children) and the place was quiet by 10pm. That was great for us, as we're not young partiers. There are no other tourists except those at the resort on the beach. You will find the beds hard and the rooms musty smelling until you open and air them out (this is normal for Thailand and humid, tropical environments--unless you stay at a 5 star hotel).

We recently stayed at Narima for a week and enjoyed every moment of it. We were looking for a quiet, rustic yet comfortable place, away from swarms of tourist, on the beach, with good food, and we found it. We didn't have a meal that we didn't love. The atmosphere was relaxed, the huts were air conditioned and felt private among the beautiful foliage. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed several massages from the resident massage therapist, who was very professional and skilled. The key words for Narima for are rustic and relaxed.

Room Tip: none of the huts are directly on the beach, but just a short walk some of them have a view of the b...

Stayed for four nights and had an enjoyable trip. Jum, at the front desk, was very helpful and full of smile. Staff were nice. However, they need to focus when getting meal orders properly. The resort has a nice private,beach- good for snorkelling and you see lots of sea creatures on low tide. Resort if far from town (about 20 minutes) and accesible by a taxi or tuk tuk. However its best to rent a scooter ($5/6 hrs), road is quiet and adds to a serene vibe. Theres a national park at the southern point of the island and worth a visit. Dinner was really GOOD! try the lobster bisque ( I swear they use one whole lobster on one bbowl). Pool has a great sunset view. Bungalows are spacious and clean. I did not see any molds or broken doors. AC was working just great. the only con are the kids. this resort is family oriented so beware the screaming children. And visit Ko rok- best snorkelling site!
