What more can be said. This resort is exceptional in every sense. The staff were superb and the accommodation is excellent. The beach and surrounding areas are a delight. This was our first visit to Ko Lanta and we cannot wait to return.
The resort offers exceptional value for money. We took advantage of the excursions and the spa and again these were close to perfection.
I would challenge anyone who would find fault.
A delightful experience. We wish the establishment well and see you soon.

Originally booked this hotel online after seeing photos from website. The ancient Aztec hut theme looks nice. Read many reviews but nothing close to what I've experience here. The hotel located right on the beach. Nice cozy room but the outdoor shower has lots of insects especially at night. The bed is soft but has an uneven surface like stuffing lots of cotton inside. No proper toilettries, only refillable one and both are not labelled. (so it's up to you to guess which one is shower gel or shampoo. Swimming pool is really small and not clean. Both jacuzzi are out of order with the motor placed right next to them. On the good side, there's full size refrigerator and DVD player in the room. Wifi Internet doesn't seem to work. (free wifi was advertised on website) Service from staff here is minimum. If you want to be surrounded by nature and not to be pampered, this can be a place for you.

We had an awesome time at Ancient Realm! Big thanks to all the staff who made our stay so wonderful! Ancient Realm is great value for money, with excellent staff and all the facilities that you come to expect in this price range. The food was the best we have had on the whole trip in Thailand. The Green Curry Chicken was highlight on the menu! The best point of our day was to relax in the garden hammock, using the free wifi (which is unusually fast for Thailand) and watching the sun set. We will be back. We want Beachfront Villa 2303 again! We didn't get a chance to use the spa in the resort, but we had a few great oil massages in their beach massage hut. The spa menu looked great and much more advanced than most places around. Would love to try it out next time. Thanks to the girls in the bar....sorry for keeping you awake ordering cocktails until 3am....we had to try the whole menu! We told everyone we met about the great time we had in Ancient Realm, so thought a review is the least we can do also!!

Sawadee ka.( Greetings)
In the best central banana shaped sandy beach, four adults in our family had a most wonderful, relaxing week in this touch of Koh Lanta paradise. After leaving our large air conditioned huts with outdoor private bathrooms, complimentary breakfasts on the beach front were served daily with smiling and ever obliging staff. All this and more at budget prices only Ancient Realm can seem to offer. After a day of sunbaking, swimming, sightseeing, shopping and eating, drinks and dinner at sunset were almost the highlight of the day. Kob khun ka to all the staff for making this a truly great week.
The mix of local people, the many nationalities of tourists, the different languages, the religions, culture and traditions gave us all so much to appreciate and take with us.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our holiday, based on the reviews on here.

We had a beach front bungalow which was very good value for money for £30 ish per night. The bungalows are rustic looking, very quaint but have great air conditioning so you are not bothered by the heat at night. I did like the outside bathroom/shower but had to send my husband out there before every visit to check for unwanted creature surprises!!

We liked this place because it was so different than anywhere we have stayed before so nice to experience a non chain, non faceless hotel.

It's right on the beach so we didn't use the little swimming pool but I can see this would be useful for families with small children.

What really makes this place is the staff. Suki and Mia and everyone could not do enough for us. We encountered a couple of issues during our stay (nothing disasterous) and they were sorted out for us IMMEDIATELY, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I can accept that you might sometimes have problems on holiday but as long as they are attended to thats fine. We got really good advice about applying mozzie repellant well before dusk which we were thankful for!! Laundry service was great value and v useful as we were travelling light.

Spent quite a bit of time at the hotel bar chatting to the staff and other guests which was really enjoyable. Met some great people. Cocktails were great, prices v reasonable for a hotel bar. The staff even tried to teach us a few words of Thai which was very amusing for them and useful for the rest of the holiday. The dog, Benson understood our Thai so it can't have been that bad!!!

Didn't eat in the hotel other than breakfast but found fantastic restaurants on the beach for dinner. Eating on the beach, gazing out to sea under the stars is hard to beat.

We loved the chilled out vibe on Koh Lanta. Had a fabulous day out seeing Lantas 4 Islands with Lanta longtail/ Sun Idland Tours and I would recommend that to anyone. Beautiful sights and amazing snorkelling.

I'd go back to Lanta tomorrow and definitely spend more time there. The island is excellent value for money and much cheaper and laid back than Phi Phi and Railay.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Found the staff and service is be helpful however, when we went to check out at 7:30 am on our last day no one could be found so it was quite frustrating. The rooms themselves are comfortable. The shower in the washroom was very cute - no roof so it was exposed to the outside and there were many stones. Very different experience for us. The food at the restaurant was nice, simple. Amenities included laundry service (reasonable price), small pool, restaurant/bar, pool table (free), ping pong table, spa (not as good as ones on the beach and more expensive too). The location of the resort was good - right on the beach and not in the rocky area. Lots of other restaurants are present on this beach; as well there are massages places, bars, mini marts, shopping areas. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Ancient Realm. However, there were lots of young families there and may not be great for backpackers if you want a more rowdy environment.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had purchased the honeymoon package. The first thing which put us off was that they had a complicated system for breakfast where we had to tick the things we wanted and god-save-you if you entered something incorrectly. So we could only have (bacon and eggs) OR (milk and cereal) OR something else which I dont remember now.
We had to tick different things for tea and coffee and everything was very minimalistic. We also got stares every time we went to take food and both my wife and I were only too happy not having any other meal in the hotel during our stay.
I am not sure if the hotel mentions a swimming pool on the website, but what they have was only marginally larger than a bath tub.
They had talked about booking spa treatments on the internet, which we did. We booked something for 2200THB (and it was an internet only rate). The only thing true was that the rate existed only on the internet. The hotel did not have printed rate cards and the rates we saw for similar treatments on other hotels were much cheaper. (did not compare quality, so not sure of an exact comparison)
Overall, the hotel is a no-frills hotel. I stayed on another hotel for a few nights and we were much happier there.
