“Wonderful Experience, Food and People”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. We had originally booked at Time for Lime, but due to renovations, we were not able to attend. We ended up not being disappointed at all! The teacher is very friendly and accommodating. She is very knowledgeable and has excellent cooking skills. The staff helping her seemed to get along well, and spent a lot of time laughing and having a good time. We chose the Spring Rolls (great), Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce (the sauce was great!), Green Curry (wonderful!) and the Red Curry (best red curry I've ever had). We were picked up and dropped back off to our hotel, which was very helpful.

I do not think you will be disappointed with this experience.

“Incredibly impressive!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

This was the best food experience of my life to date! The food I prepared and ate, under the learned guidance of Pae was the tastiest I've had so far in Thailand.

Pae is a superb teacher with vast experience and she had inherited her mothers and grandmothers culinary skills- again showing me the emphasis on food and family here in Thailand!

I would highly recommend this course and throughout enjoyed my course there!

“Great cookery class”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014

We had been looking out for a good value authentic thai cookery class for a while. We decided to do the evening class which we were pleased about as it can get pretty hot next to the stoves and couldn't imagine what the heat would be like in the daylight hours. They do provide fans though! Our pick up Was on time to take us from the resort to the class. We were given a recipe book and as it was just the two of us we were able to choose our top 4 dishes. There was a 1/2 hour period while the fresh ingredients were prepared and we were shown were to help ourselves to tea/coffee etc. Staff were very helpful throughout. We didn't have time to write all the steps in our books immediately (as doing the prep/cooking) but the team were happy to assist after each dish to ensure we had all the stages recorded correctly.
We had a fantastic time and would recommend the class to all. You really do learn a lot about the ingredients you use and we are excited to create the feast again at home.
You are also able to take away any left overs!!

“Great food but all felt a bit rushed...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2014 via mobile

Great food and wonderful semi-outdoor kitchen but was not impressed with the teacher - Pea. Although there were only two of us in the class the whole thing seemed rushed. Pea didn't smile once and seemed irritated and impatient when I didn't chop fast enough or asked a simple question! We finished an hour earlier that stated on the leaflet so I'm not sure why we had to rush so much. Got the impression that she didn't really want to be there... It wasn't a bad experience but Pea could do with being more patient and try smiling once in a while.

“Great cooking class!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2014

This cooking class is good value for money.

Our teacher ('Pea' if I'm correct) did a good job explaining a lot about ingredients (origin/taste/application), cutting techniques, order of adding ingredients and clear instructions on how to prepare the meals.

We had only six people in our group, which was great. The pick-up from our resort (included in the price) was on time.

Total price for the cooking class was 1,300 Baht (afternoon session) and we cooked 4 different meals. We were glad that we had a very small breakfast, as we were able to finish all four meals. Of course we had to skip dinner that day!!

The only awkward moment was the welcome, where we had to pick four recipes out of ten and then did nothing for about half an hour. The ingredients needed to be prepared during that half hour. We would recommend to spent a few more minutes on some kind of briefing/introduction as if everyone does this for the time (short explanation of the different recipes, what will the structure of the classes be, what if you do not prefer meat so they can give you the right ingredients). But to be honest that should not keep you from taking cooking classes here!
