Very cheap, worth the money and convenient. Air con rooms and good food menu. Quiet area where our hut were. lots of shops, restaurants and bike rentals near by, which was great. Staff was very nice and polite, I have no complaints. Stayed here for full moon party.

unforgettable stay ! stayed here for 2 weeks in early march and then extended another 2 weeks because it was so comfortable. here's my opinion after 4 weeks:

pros: the staff ! they are some of the nicest people ive met in my life and were very welcoming and friendly my entire time. they helped me anytime i needed household items, questions and honestly took genuine care in their guests. it's a family run business and they all were very hard working and accommodating (im really puzzled how anyone would say otherwise) the food ! restaurant is an unknown gem on the island -- really cheap, authentic and clean the beach! being on the island for 3 months now, the stretch of beach is one of the best nearby for swimming, ... deepest and no corral/seaweed around. the dogs ! i loved them all, they were all fun to play with the neighbors ! everyone was cool and the vibe was really friendly and warm the whole time price !... for what you pay this is one of the best options around

cons: bed.. was a bit stiff ... but nothing caused me any serious inconvenience proximity...very close to other bungalows ... but everyone was festive and came together nicely

thank you so much jungle hut for making my stay so nice ... it

My friends and I stayed here for two weeks or so and really liked it. The staff can be a bit hit and miss with how friendly they are, but we're all human so I'll forgive them for that. They were pretty helpful when I had a few travel issues and making bookings for travel to the other islands.

The food's good too, though being vegan I went looking for other places to eat most days. But it's pretty tasty and my friends liked the food. It wasn't uncommon to see people who were staying elsewhere at the restaurant.

The superior bungalows are a good size, are clean and are cleaned well when requested.

It's a really nice quiet area too. Head down to Heaven bar on the beach for a chilled drink or two.

If you want somewhere to stay for Full Moon stay in Haad Rin or Ban Tai though, it's too far away for taxis. It's okay for the smaller parties that are in Ban Tai though.

The staff were unfriendly to the point of rudeness, and after demanding a 50%(!) deposit for the duration of our stay, refused to refund any of it when we decided not to take their accommodation. We gave them 48hrs notification that we had changed our minds, and this was during high season. The owner and another woman both shouted at us in the public restaurant - despite not actually even requesting a refund; only informing them that we would not be taking the room.

Why not? The place is awful! The bungalows are packed together to extract the maximum value out of their miserable little strip of beach. They all face directly onto one another across a concrete path running between them. There is a pitiful attempt at a garden at the top, but that is just depressing.

The place is cheap and nasty. Avoid!

I stayed at Jungle Hut for 3 nights with my boyfriend. The woman at the reception is very kind and happy to help also for train and boat tickets. The room was really simple but for the price we payed we were really satisfied. The kitchen is also very good. The only negative aspect is that you can find spiders or insects... but it's normal since you are in the middle of nature (!) and the owners are always happy to help :)

Staff were unfriendly & lazy. We booked it for 5 nights for the full moon & no taxi would bring us to it as it was too far away so we only slept there 1 night. We got charged an extra half day the day after the full moon even though the owner knew we couldn't get home any night. The night we arrived we were starving. She said restaurant was serving food until 10.30 & when we asked for food before 10.30 she was disguised. She asked us to leave straight after dinner which wasn't even nice, even though we had bought a drink because she was tired. Book early & spend the money to stay closer to full moon. Check out Friendlys (AC & Pool) where our friends stayed.

We stayed nearby in a budget room in an more upmarket resort. We enjoyed the food in jungle hut and the relaxed vibe (and very good prices in the restaurant) so much that we ate here every day.

Resort had a nice vibe, staff were so nice and food great.

Will stay here if we come back to Phangan
