“Great atmosphere, amazing food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014 via mobile

My fiance and I were only going to stay 3 nights but booked another 2. I, unfortunately booked the basic fan room, which is totally basic and great on a budget, but seeing the other bungalows on the beach I wish I could've upgraded but they were fully booked for good reason! The owners and management are SO friendly, they take care of everyone equally and ensure you are comfortable. Multilingual in french, english and dutch. Spent most of the time in the restaurant drinking their wide variety of Belgian beers. The food is absolute quality and fantastic, large portions and they have different specials every day (the ham mac and cheese was to die for). Location is right beside a few convenient stores and ATM's. Beach is beautiful, shallow and quite a bit of floating kelp but whatever, it's the ocean. Sunsets are perfect, the place is laid-back but a good influx of people. Lot's of families. Some people talked about cockroaches on the reviews here, I can honestly say I never saw one so that's confusing to me. If you want budget and basic, then a fan room but I recommend spending the extra dime for seaview because it's beautiful. The garden and area is clean and well maintained. All in all, highly recommended! Thank you for the welcoming hospitality! Keep
up the good work :)

If I had to describe Seetanu Bungalows with a few words that would be home sweet home. I arrived there pretty tired and stressed and I left after 15 days feeling happy, peaceful and with plenty of new friends. I have to add that I probably left the place weighting a bit more as the restaurant there is just amazing! Daily life at Seetanu Bungalows: fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves of the ocean then wake up and walk a couple of meters to have a swim then go to the bar to enjoy a fresh coconut then maybe go back to your bungalow for a nap. I know life is hard! Then go for a ride on your scooter but come back to enjoy the beautiful sunset and finish the day at the restaurant meeting new people.

You can eat thai or if you feel homesick enjoy a real belgian meal! Yeah at Seetanu bungalows it s possible to eat mussels or a beef tartare that tastes better than in Belgium. Quentin creates receipes mixing belgian and thai style. Just delicious!

This place is perfect for families as it is in a quieter area of the island with direct access to the beach. But it is also great for solo travellers like me as you can meet lots of people and make friends at the restaurant and bar.

Thank you Moon, Quentin and all their lovely team for this beautiful holiday I had staying at the Seetanu. The only problem with this place is that you won t want to leave!! :-) Almost like in Hotel California....you can check in anytime you want but then you won t never want to leave :-) See you soon hopefully!!

The bungalows a locatet near quiet small sandy beach where you can rest almost alone. The beach is separated by the rocks from the surroundings, so it is really quiet and peacefull. All the place is very beautiful including small gardens, almost openaired restaurant and small white houses. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The laudry service is good and not far from Seetanu You can find good local restaurants (if You are not keen on less local food and belgian beer - as it is a belgian resort - in their own restaurant) as well as fine tour agent, who will help in getting around the island or buing the ticket to Bakgkok. The bungalow was clean and quite well cooled by the trees thought it was not air conditioned and having a nap on the balcony in the tropical surroundings was delightfull.
If not during fool moon party Koch Phangan is excellent for those who search a little intimacy and peace in tropical surroundings, which is not so easy to find in Thailand.
I would love to go back there tto chill out in a far better place than Phuket or Koch Phi Phi.

While the staff were exceptionally friendly, our bungalow was disgusting in a way that's hard to articulate. The "bed" (2 mattresses on the floor) had mold on it. We found unidentified scat, a used contact lens, and dead cockroaches on the floor. At a low point, a lizard came out of a crack in the wall. The place was infested with termites and roaches and had mold everywhere. It became clear the sheets were not washed and when we asked for a new set, we were told no. There's no AC, bad WIFI, and cold water. We are not typically picky travelers, but camping might actually be a better option.

The Seetanu bungalows are located on the rather quiet beach Ao Chao Phao. The warm welcome of the staff was a good start for our relaxing stay. The bungalow was nice, sanitary installations were good. AC worked well. If you want to watch TV (just in case), you can get plenty of movies at the reception.
We enjoyed the silence here though. The sunset is amazing and you can borrow a kayak for free. If you are looking for a place to eat, you will find it around the beach. My suggestion would be the own Belgian Beer Bar. They serve a wide range of tasty Belgian beers and all kinds of sandwiches, burgers, Thai food and the famous mussels.
We would love to come back!

Put a nice family resort on a beautiful beach, in an incredible island...and tada! Here comes the Seetanu!
Although we had planned to stay 4 days, we ended up spending almost 2 full weeks.
We were there with our three sons and had a wonderful time. We had a large bungalow on the beach and the staff made the arrangments so that we could all sleep together. The boys had folding beds, which were perfect for them.
The food is excellent and the coffee...mmmh...finally a real one!
We would have stayed more, but the resort was full. We were surprised they even looked around for us to help us find another place. (thanksssss!)
We would go back there ANYTIME! The sooner, the better!

Stayed for 12 nights in low season right on the beach. Single roomed with bathroom and shower. Wifi good.
There was quite large openings in the wooden planks of the bungalow but never had a problem with Mosquitos or anything. Great value for money and the caretaker G was a gem. Very nice lady.
