This place is exactly how it was advertised. Comfortable room conditions and a fan and cold shower is all you need. Really close to Haad Rin which was a major plus, and for 300b a night, value can't be beaten. Kim who runs the show is the nicest guy out, and is always down for a chat. WiFi was average at the best of times, but is a non-issue at the end of the day.

After traveling Asia for 3 months, this is really the best value for money we've experienced. Me and my boyfriend stayed 3 nights in the bungalow with fan, for only 300B per night!!! (When it is fullmoon it is more expensive like the rest of the island..)
Anyhow, bungalow is really clean, toiletpaper, soap and towels included. We absolutely didn't expect this for the money we payed. Nice veranda too, with a lot of trees around so shadow, which is nice with the tropical temperatures.
Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach and the town. 7/11 1 minute walk. Free wifi which works ok.
Only downside was the bunch of plastic bottles next yo our cabin. Didn't smell though, so ok.
Really reccommend this 'resort'!!!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here or 11 nights because it was so close to the beach and all other island points of interest.

The two guys who ran the place were really nice and tried to help as much as possible.

The room was clean, but we could have been provided with toilet roll and clean towels more than we were - we had to ask.

The air con in the room was soo intensely cold that we had to sleep with clothes on to keep warm, but had to have the air con on all night or it was too hot!

The wifi is only strong at the bottom of the hill so it's eat to try get a hut near there.

There is a 7/11 two seconds away, an a really nice Austrian bakery up the hill.

I would return here.

Booked this six days before full moon, and we werent really sure what we were in for. We got here and there was a little problem with the rooms as we didnt pay the 50% deposit as we got no email to pay it. That was fine though, and they sorted us out with rooms, one with aircon even though we didn't book it, which was a nice surprise, as all the other rooms were taken. The 20 baht big bottles of cold water that you can buy from reception are a godsend after a night out. The amazing location, walking distance between the main beach area and the Coral pool party is awesome. (pool party is so bloody fun, go there pretty much every night apart from fullmoon and jungle party. duh) Very chilled place during the day, just sit out on the balcony and read and recover. Balcony great place for pre drinks too. Internet is super fast, try and get a room close to reception so your room is in the wifi zone. I cant flaw this place, i loved it, the staff are great, even accidentally broke a key and they said not to worry. Make sure you bring insect repellent though. Those balconies are a feeding ground for mozzies.
Cheers
Thad out

Room Tip: Pick a room close to reception for those of you who love wifi whilst sprawled on your bed.

Me and my cooky, crazy traveler friends only stayed here for one night so take this review with a pinch of the proverbial salt. Beds were fine and clean, air con wi fi etc. Good location near to the beach. The korean fellar, whose name I never got, who seemed to be the manager was a lovely, helpul young man that was also very interesting to talk to. Best thing about the hostel was probably the value for money to be fair. Awesome... GREAT.

Room Tip: go here if you economising

After hearing the island gets busy during the full moon period, we read about Thai Dee online and thought it looked like a good place to stay. We placed a booking online and they asked for a 10 % deposit, this was fine and we paid it. They then asked for a 50% deposit as it was full moon and this seemed reasonable as most places asked for this. However after a storm on Koh Tao, we couldn't do a PayPal transfer for the 50% and therefore only paid 10%. We emailed asking if this was okay and were told this was fine and that we could pay on arrival. We turned up a few days later to find our room had been given away and there were no spaces left. The staff didn't speak any English and we were put on the phone to their boss who also was hard to understand. We sat there for an hour waiting for them to sort it out with no results. I explained I had paid a deposit and showed them the emails, yet they denied having sent these emails to us, therefore wouldn't sort us out a room or give us a refund. We had to leave and walk to find a new plAce to stay, I have since emailed them about the deposit but have not received a reply back for over a month now. Don't stay here, the location isnt great either and its not a social or nice place to stay.

The resort is in a really good location to be close enough to walk to bars and beaches (including full moon beach) but far enough for a bit of peace. The gardens are lovely.

However when shown to our room the guy ran ahead and sprayed a load of bug spray as the door seemed permanently open. This left us with dead bugs all over the beds and floor. Although you are supposed to take shoes off in Thailand, we literally couldn't because it was so dirty. The bathroom stank! It wasn't of sewerage but more of a mouldy, rodent smell. And there were rodents. We could hear them scurrying around in the ceiling and thought we saw something scurry past in the night but couldn't be sure. Lizards and bugs I can expect but rats or whatever they were is just disgusting. And the ceiling had patches of urine which were going mouldy so it was pretty unhygienic in there. One of the most expensive places we've stayed and by far the worst - we couldn't wait to leave.

It's a shame because the staff were really nice and when I got ill and needed a doctor (probably due to the state of the room) they immediately got me on a motorbike and took me straight there free of charge. And the safety deposit boxed seemed trustworthy as they were based in the owners office and you use your own lock.
