“Best spot in Thailand”
Reviewed 3 October 2011

We stayed here for 6 nights in September 2011 and it was absolutely PERFECT!! The location is amazing - with incredible views of the ocean and aptly named for the beautiful sunsets. Our room was spotless and charming, and the staff were super friendly and very helpfull. The inifty pool is awesome too - countless hours spent lounging at it`s side. If you`re looking for a romantic place to relax at a reasonable price - this is the perfect spot. We really can`t say enough about the service and the quality of this spot. Go check it out!

Happy travles.

Room Tip: It's a little far from the pier but if you book in advance, someone can come and get you for fre...

In spite of the beautiful view and the friendly staff at the Sunset Cove, we disagree with the high ranking of this resort due to the lack of proper cleaning and very basic bungalows.
We had a sea view bungalow which is meant to be deluxe and for that price you are not supposed to be surrounded by cockroaches. We found them on the bedroom floor at night, in the sink as well as in the shower.
After the room had been "cleaned" we still found the spots of smashed cockroaches on the floor.
Each time it rained, an extra shower was on in the bathroom: rain water coming through the ceiling...and the safe was defect.
This was the most disappointing and dirty accomodation we had in Thailand.

Sunset cove resort is a hidden treasure on Koh Phangan It's located outside all touristic spots and with its white-sand beach, turquoise sea, palm trees, very helpful staff, delishes breakfasts, very nice and cleas bungalowes it's everything that you're looking for on a holiday If you give them a call before arriving on the island they arrange to pick you up from the pier (for free) I would recommend this place for everyone looking for peace and quiet and island paradise There were times when we walked on the beach for half an hour without meeting another tourist

A great little resort on the beachfront, with a delicious menu, lovely infinity pool, and incredibly friendly staff that go out of their way to help you.

We stayed in a 'standard room' (1200 baht per night, low season), which was at the back of the bungalows with no view, but was still great. Clean, spacious enough, and the bathroom is open to the outside, so great for airing clothes.

The resort was peaceful and relaxing and had little surprises like an incredible breakfast included, a big range of DVD's and books, and free transfers to and from the ferry.

The major attraction would have to be the staff though. They smile constantly, help you with anything you like, and are generally wonderful.

Room Tip: Bungalows are more spacious with a better view, but if you're not planning on staying in your ro...

We stayed here for 3 nights in August and for us the resort did not live up to our expectations after the reviews on Tripadvisor. The rooms are quite basic and apart from the poolside villas don’t have views. There is no TV (although they do have DVDs to borrow) and no tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast is average but the dining area does have lovely views. The beach is beautiful but the sea is too shallow for swimming. The pool area was nice but I would not recommend the hotel for a quiet getaway as there were a lot of families with noisy young children when we were there. We ate dinner there once which we didn’t enjoy. There are 2 other very good restaurants (Sea Flower and La Dolce Vita) a short walk along the beach. We took a snorkelling tour of the island which was great and I would say look around as there are better beaches for swimming.

Beautiful and relaxing. The beach is just paradise which streches for miles. The pool area was great but pool was a little chilly! Breakfast was lovely but didnt eat anything else. It is a very quiet part of the island and there really isnt much round hotel so depends what youre looking for. It is Perfect place to relax and unwind. The hotel staff were very helpful adn friendly. Beware of worms in outside bathroom!!!
