The room was very nice and comfortable and had a great view of the swimming pool. We had a nice experience at this hotel but it has many different rooms types, so I imagine the experiences may vary according to the lodging. Breakfast wasn't great. It was a bit expensive. The beach in front of the hotel wasn't as nice as we were expecting, but it is an easy walk to the neighbor beach and restaurants.

Positive:
- It is perfectly located if you want to be near the full moon party (5min by foot) but still far enough that you are able to sleep).
- The beach also is nice although you need to be careful because of some stones on the ground as well you need to take care of some waste as glass, empty bottles etc.
- Also the room we chose (Senior bungalow) was nice.
Negative:
- Although on a high price level (probably the highest around Haad Rin) you always feel like staying at a hostel. This starts with a key deposit of 500B when you arrive. It continues with signs everywhere in the resort telling you what is not allowed and how much it costs (e.g. 500B if you take away breakfast from the breakfast area, 2,000B if you put things (e.g. bottles) in your private pool for cooling, an extensive list with prices for room amenities in case you damage them (e.g. 45,000B for the Samsung TV).

- The breakfast needs be considered as rather poor (e.g. only one sort of jam, one sort of bread - toast, no kind of sausages, no cheese).
- Food seems to be an issue in general - The menues provided are damaged / dirty, the choice of food is only satisfying the typical needs of backpackers (e.g. burgers, pasta, pizza, some typical thai food).
- The restaurant area does not invite you to enjoy your stay there (uncomfortable seating area, dirty tables).
- The service is really poor. Sometimes you wait ages until someone is willing to serve you although they seem not really busy. In one case, we were even asked twice to pay a bill for food from the guests sitting at our table before but obviously did not pay.

- The sunchairs are made of wood and only a limited number of polstery is available (only at the pool. At the beach you only have the wooden sunchairs without anything).

- One point about other guests although this is not the resort's fault: Most of the guests seem to be guests from Israel which seem to have a behaviour that doesn't suit normal 4* hotel guests (e.g. they seem quite noisy and ignorant about other guests, some of them provide loud music at the pool and the seating area no matter what other guests think about that).

Conclusion:
If you want to stay for the fullmoon party but expect a resort on a reasonable level, you should try another resort farther from the party and take a taxi or a boat to / from the party.

The hotel facilties are spectacular and everythings just good.
The only thing that could be better is music in the pool , that could be really good if they had it there.
furthermore, Peach the receptionist is by far one of the most carrying person i ever met.
Great stay!

Nice resort hotel, with a great beach stretch, and nice swimming pool. Not too fancy, but certainly friendly and nice. Very friendly staff. Koh Phangan is basically a backpackers resort, but this hotel is very friendly to families.

Room Tip: Basically two types of rooms - bungalows and rooms. We stays in a bungalow.

We have stayed here a few times now. The second time round I even asked for the same hill side bungalow as the last time as it is right at the top of the resort, away from the pool and the bar so the noise is minimal. The resort is over the other side from Haad Rin so you hardly hear any music coming form the Full Moon beach.

The staff are very polite, helpful and professional. The resort feels safe. The food is great there too. Scampi are the best there. We decided to treat ourselves and booked in to have the hot stone massage which was amazing. I even fell asleep.

However, the prices are very high and do think it is a bit overpriced but this is usually our highlight of the trip when we come to Thailand and we always splurge out. Full moon party is compulsory and you always have to pay lots of money for it too.

The resort to get to is down the hill but to leave it is up a steep hill. It didn't bother me. So if you're athletic and fit it's absolutely fine.

A few days after the fool moon the whole area is very quiet and is the best time to enjoy the place. I recommend to stay for a bit longer after the full moon.

I spent 3 nights at this hotel after many recommendations i got.
it really is an OK hotel - nice pool, nice rooms, good restaurant, good breakfast - still isnt worth the 2600 BAHT per night for the cheapest room.
there is an extremely tilt road on the way out from the hotel ( to enter the hotel its a way down)
it wasn't mentioned anywhere- many people were strugling climbing that each and every time they wanted to go out of the hotel to town. ( should take into consideration if not able to clim - people on a wheel chair ect.)
the staff was really rude!! didnt answer our simple questions nicely and even a phone call from the reception cost me 20 BHAT per min (domestic call). i never paid money for that in any hotel over the country.
Bayshore, best western are better hotels - great prices in Booking/hotels.com ect.
ENJOY

First of all the hotel located on a private beach and about 7 min walk (+climbing annoying hill) to the Main Street so if you are looking for party's this is not the place for you. Moreover the service was very bad for my opinion with antipathetic staff. I stayed at the cliff bungalow and the room was very noisy. I was at the first floor and I could hear every step and every noise that came out from the room above me. Overall for my opinion the hotel is very expensive and with this bad service it doesn't really worth the money.
