Disgusting,

Please do not go unless you’ve been to prison then you might be used to the horiffic conditions there, it’s the most dirtiest room I’ve ever been in, I told them and they said it’s because I have a standard room, if I pay triple the price I will get better😡😡 the beach front is beautiful but your better off sleeping on the beach rather than in the room. Absolutely disgusting, blood on bed sheets for a lady I spoke to, honestly depends what your use to but I’ve stayed in 2 star in Thailand and it’s been lovely, couldn’t find anything better at such short time so had no choice,

We stayed at PP Charlie for 2 nights on Phi phi island.

Upon first glance the resort was abit hard to find, you have to walk about 10 mins from the ferry port and it is abit of a maze , Pp Charlie is tucked away down a side alley and you have to walk past a construction site to get to it, once there tho the scenery is stunning and the hotel pool leads directly out to the beach on the opposite side of the island and the views are stunning.

In relation to the rooms, our room was up one flight of stairs and around the back and it wasn’t the nicest of scenery’s with multiple generators outside of our room, once inside the room the bed was very firm so uncomfortable to sleep on however the air con was working okay, the bathroom isn’t great and could do with abit of updating, the shower head has seen better days. We wasn’t aware of how noisy it would be at night so night 1 we was disappointed to be kept up till 3am due to live music from a local bar playing very loudly into our room , not ideal when you have a 5am start for a tour around the island's, night 2 was slightly less noisy so we had a better nights sleep.

The wifi was horrendous, it seemed to work until we entered our room and it would then cut off, when we complained to staff they gave us another wifi to use but this also cut off as soon as we entered the room.

The breakfast was nice and you can sit right by the beach with it, decent selection of food options.
The pool was nice but not too keen on warm pools, when it’s 35 degrees you want to cool off not get into a warm bath, also found that despite it stating you couldn’t reserve loungers people were still leaving towels on loungers for 3+ hours without returning which isnt great when you want somewhere to sit.

Overall the stunning island made up for the hotel, if I returned to the island I would go to a quieter location

Been here 2 weeks. Nice hotel, it faces onto the beach. A lovely breakfast room a short walk along the beach. Right ext door are bungalows that have a lovely small infinity pool. We used that a lot. Our room was in the main hotel. This in itself has a large infinity pool. Other side of tel leads onto Main Street. Very central. Very good selection of food for breakfast!
A good hotel!

Room tip: We did an all day speed boat trip 9 hrs. In hindsight would have done the long boat.2 very nice beaches near by. Viking beach and long beach

My partner and I had read the reviews and reasoned loud music wouldn’t bother us so booked this hotel anyway. Our first red flag was when we checked in for 4 nights and was told by the member of staff to ‘only pay for the first night incase you don’t want to stay longer’… he then took us to our room. This was up 3 flights of shabby looking stairs (very similar to an unkept council estate) and into our room. It was boiling, had lots of insects and the bed was rock hard. There was also no space to unpack anything, and the bathroom was hideous. A once white shower head was stained brown, there was a bucket and water stains everywhere. We immediately went back to reception and asked for another. We were offered an upgrade and shown to a superior room in what I believe was PP princess rather than PP Charlie. It was a million times better - hence the 4* review. It was spacious, had a lovely bathroom and best of all was located directly at the ‘secret pool’. This meant we always had Sunbed’s, had a stunning view of the beach and were a few steps away from breakfast. Breakfast was varied with lots of choice and is located on the beach which was lovely in the morning. If you’re booking and can afford too, upgrade from the standard room as they’re terrible!

We planned to stay at this hotel for two nights. We checked in and reception looked ok. There was no lift to get to the bedrooms so had to carry the suitcases and bag packs up the stairs.

We walked into the room and honestly I have no words! There was bugs everywhere, it was dirty, stains on the sheets. The bed was like concrete and we immediately knew we could not stay in that room. When trying to get out the door would also not lock. The couple we were travelling with had an even worse room then ours. These rooms were on a very busy loud street.

We went to reception and they showed my partner a different rooms that both couples have. This was better but these rooms were NOT under PP Charlie hotel this was under PP Princess hotel. The woman reassured that this was a quiet room. The room was bigger and more comfortable, a lot more like the pictures provided upon the PP Charlie website. Most importantly it was clean and the air con worked. This room was double the price on top of what we had already payed.

On the night we again had to ask to move as the base of music from a tattoo shop had the bed vibrating. The hotel was accommodating in letting us move 3 doors up where it was more quiet.

The swimming pool is nothing at all like the pictures. Please do not be fooled by the pictures of this hotel. This hotel needs a lot of TLC.

I’ve stayed for 2 night. The location was great because of the beach access. the staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean and the service was great. All pool and beach suff was available in side the room. In compare with the other hotels , in terms of price, Charlie hotel is recommended.

Room tip: the prancess and charli hotel are one resort. As you arrive, hotel staff waiting for you at pier and carry your luggage.
