The best view and zone of Ko Phi Phi. Farm of the crazy town and inside the nature. In the middle of the jungle, beautiful bungalows in front of the beach and sea.
The idea and the scene are glorious, but you can find mousse inside the room and nobody (the hotel people) care about.
Are many much difference between a room of 1.200 (very poor) and other of 2.500 (incredible depends of one you take).
The place (the beach and Resort) are not very clean. You can find a lot of plastic bootle on the beach and rest of construction material under the bungalow (Viking material's)

If you want to experience and have a beautiful and amazyng days in the middle of the jungle and in front of the sea, and you dont care about the trash or the poor customer service and level of response, this ia the best place no the island.
All that not depends 100% of the Viking people are perfect.
But the restorant, the bar or the breakfast could close much before of the real time, and that is another problem if you are in the middle of no where and without another option.

It is fantastic place to stay and relax. We called it paradise on earth! It’s so sad we stayed there only two days
We were met in port and brought to resort by boat. First time I saw it I couldn’t believe how beautiful it is.
You can’t use to the beauty in this place. Our villa was fantastic. They thought about every detail that made me smile all the time!!
Staff was good…very relax, nobody in a hurry. Sometimes you have to get your menu yourself but is it a problem? No.
Breakfast was average but it was enough. In the evening you can try Thai food for free. I also chose fresh fish that was made for me on BBQ.
Food was fantastic and prices were very good for food and drinks (great coctails).
We enjoyed every minute in this Resort. Next time in Thailand will definitely stay there for more than 2days.
Fantastic experience!

Room Tip: i think all of them are good

We loved the huts and bungalows, they are unique and exotic, exactly what we wanted. The location is perfect: far enough from Ton Sai to stay away from the crowd but close enough to go for dinner or a drink (20 min. walk). There are 2 private beaches and they are both very nice. The restaurant is right on the beach and the food is good. I definitely recommend this hotel, I would go again with no hesitation. I suggest to get a superior room, they are quieter and bigger.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Three of us stayed in Makmai 2B. It was cosy and clean. Some of the lights in the room didn't work but we didn't mind too much since the views were stunning. The resort food was good and we didn't mind the noise at night since we were out anyway. It was a bit of a walk every night after going out into the main 'town' (maybe 20 mins) but it felt safe. The two beaches were the best we visited in Thailand (we went to Krabi, Phi Phi, Phangan and Tao).

Would highly recommend. Would be a perfect honeymoon place! We felt like it was a bit of a waste on three friends.

The Viking Nature Resort is in an ideal location in a small private bay just around the corner from the main Phi Phi Don port with busy, cramped hotels, hostels and bars. A 5min long tail boat ride from there will take you to a quiet part of the island facing Phi Phi Le in the distance and sheltered from the ocean so there are almost no waves on the beach.

The water is crystal clear and warm, perfect for a swim and has a rocky ridge on both sides with interesting things to see while snorkelling too. You can get a Thai massage in a sheltered hut right on the beach with very reasonable prices, while you admire the view.

My room was about 2,500 baht a night (no air con - just multiple fans) and this had a large comfortable bed with separate bathroom and was very clean and comfortable. If I visit Phi Phi Don again I will certainly be staying at the Viking again.

I say 'reluctantly' because they double booked our room and so they shipped us off to the other side of the island for our first night! After a day and a half travelling to get there, it was not what we wanted to hear! (Nor did they offer to refund the night).

BUT even after this false start, the next 3 nights we had at viking were fantastic. We stayed in Makmai rooms, beautifully decorated, gorgeous views. The walk into town is fine, we walked it many times (once with our loaded backpacks - that was more of a struggle :)

Food and cocktails were good, prices were good. Snorkelling was varied and interesting right off the beach, and over to longbeach. Would def. come back.

Re:Noise - you COULD hear the music from town, sometimes louder, sometimes softer. In the Makmai rooms you've only got bamboo walls separating, so fingers crossed you share with considerate travellers.

Room Tip: Makmai 3D was fantastic

Firstly, we didn't know about this place when we were researching where to stay in PP Don. We found it only by walking back from Long Beach towards the Ao Ton Sai. We spent two evenings enjoying the discrete little beach with the nice music, lovely food and drinks. The bungalows were extremely impressive and we wondered if they were nice to sleep in. We met a couple who stayed here during a diving trip and they said that they could hear the music from the other side of the bay, which was annoying. We stayed at PP Villa, which was much closer to the bars, but we didn't have a problem with the music, thankfully.
The bathrooms and the massage salon on the beach are particularly special. Very romantic place that is also nice for families and groups of friends.
