Stayed for 3 nights here in October 2013.
It's by no means a huge fancy resort, more like a hotel by the beach. But its really quiet, really nice staff, and all the rooms are really close to the beach (not like others where you'd have to hike through the jungle).
This side of Phi Phi is much quieter and home to only 4-5 resorts, most of qhich are quite small except the Holiday Inn which is massive and full of loud mainland chinese tourists.
The water here was that amazing turquoise blue you see in post cards, though not crystal clear like in some places. But its just so serene to chill there, have the iconic long boats in the water, great sun, and not many people.
Other islands like Krabi apparently have boatloads of day-trippers dropped off each day but we didn't experience that except a small load of 10 russians that came one afternoon.
The lunch buffet is pretty crap, but the breakfast is OK and dinner at the Sawasdhee restaurant is pretty good (the Thai food anyway - I didn't try the western).
Any of the boat operators on the beach are helpful and friendly, all the same price.
Just down the beach there's a great restaurant called Jasmine which is the top pick.
No wi-fi in rooms, only the lobby, no room service or pool-side food, and no facilities except the pool, but for a getaway off the grid, this was perfect.
