“Days of Adventure and Nights of Relaxation”

I'll start by admiting I'm a big fan of Thailand. The Thai culture is one of the most pleasant and welcoming of any I've experienced thru my years of travel. I go back yearly and it's one of my go to spots when I just want to unwind and relax and enjoy.

I discovered Zeavola about 7 years back and have revised this property 4 times. I've never written a review, wanted to keep it my own little secret ... but thought it's time to share the love...

Each trip to Thailand, we try to visit at least 3 properties, this year we opted for one in Krabi, Phi Phi and Phuket....

Zeavola is one of those properties which lie between luxury and camping... the bungalows are so simple in their design and give you an "outdoor" living with indoor sleeping... but there's something magical about spending so much time on a beautifully designed simple place offering wonderful amenities, like fresh towels, outdoor shower ....

The property is beautiful in itself... located not he far distant end of Phi Phi, away from the crowded touristy side... which is easy to get to by Longboat ride ... it's much better to stay on the quite side and venture to the hustle side if your so inclined or need a break from the tranquility of Zeavola.

We choose Phi Phi and Zeavola because Phi Phi offers excellent middle road between Krabi and Phuket... the waters are generally clearer for those of us who like to snorkel ... I will say that it seems the corals and the fish are getting more sparse each year... a result of too many of us enjoying ... but there is still opportunity to see and swim ...

my suggestions for Phi Phi and Zeavola.... we use Zeavola as a base camp to come back to and in the day we venture down the beach to find our Long Boat drivers... Lip and Youp ... father and son team who we contract for the days we are there to take us ANYWHERE we want to venture and to stay as LONG as we want to stay out.... they can take you to places where the tourist in orange floaties are NOT .... which is great ..... you can snorkel all day, take your own beverages and music and enjoy as if it's your own shangri-la ....

Warning : Zeavola will drag you in and after a long day in the water, it's a great place to come back have a massage, a few drinks some great Thai food and a nice dinner sitting directly on the beach....searching the stars and pondering why you would ever want to return to your day job...other than to fund another trip back to Zeavola and Phi Phi....

To the staff at Zeavola.... you always welcome us like old friends and see to our comforts and needs... We will be back ..... assured..

One note to those who travel to Phi Phi... I've noticed so much more plastics and glass on the beaches..... do your part... preserve these places ... it's your duty to Thailand... she offers us an amazing place to experience filled with amazing sites and flora and fauna and fish and food.... Take care and clean up after yourself... keep your plastics in hand and return them to the trash so they can be disposed of properly .... as you walk the beaches, pick up more than you left behind....

Now my secret place is revealed ....

Room Tip: Ask for a bungalow at the rear of the property.... the walk thru the place to the beach is worth the...

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here. Zeavola is a beautiful resort. The staff is very friendly. We booked snorkeling excursions with them, which were a blast. The villas were clean and beautiful. The turn down service was great. We also really enjoyed the food from the restaurants. We also went to the spa several times for massages, which were fantastic.

The only difficulty is getting there. You have to take a ferry from Phuket. The ferry doesn't stop at a pier for the resort. It sits out in the water and longtail boats come and bring you ashore. If you are brought to the resort through the back, the longtail boat stops at a pier and you have to literally climb out of the boat. I would recommend this resort only for people who do not have mobility issues.

If you like Eco friendly, rustic yet exquisite attention to detail you'll love this place! amazingly friendly staff from arrival to departure. Iced flannels brought to your sunbed on the beach to cool you down...fab! Villas very 'unique' ...like a huge treehouse in the jungle (beware mozzies!)
Open air rainshower plus indoor bathroom in case showering outside doesn't float your boat! Small gifts left each night on the pillow. Just lovely.
Great breakfasts cooked to order and wonderful food in the restaurant.
All in all an idyllic 'no news, no shoes ' resort on a wonderful white sand beach with crystal clear water. Would most definitely return.

My husband and I stayed at Zeavola for the end or our honeymoon and it was amazing! From the moment we pulled up to the beach we were greeted by their friendly staff and even the GM welcomes guests as they arrive to the island, which is a nice touch.

We originally had booked a Garden Villa, which are lovely rooms, however, on arrival we asked if we could upgrade to a Beach Villa, paying the extra money was completely worthwhile, we absolutely loved being so close to the ocean and the accommodation itself is absolutely stunning. Prior to arriving to the resort we had read some bad comments about the accommodation on this website and my husband and I found it to be quite humorous. The rooms are absolutely stunning and represent everything that is great about Thailand. If you are looking for modern rooms and modern accommodation, why are you travelling to Phi Phi in the first place, get amongst the culture or stay at a modern hotel somewhere in Thailand’s CBD.
The Zeavola team are just so friendly and whilst a lot did not speak English that well, you just make do and you find a way to communicate to them, again that just adds to the whole experience of being in Thailand.

We ate most meals at the Zeavola restaurants and the food is amazing, well presented and there is also a lot of variety. It is more expensive than eating at one of the beach eats, however if you mizx it up between the resort and the beach eats you will experience it all.

We also had to make a mention about the dive centre, we did a day tour to Maya Bay, Blue Lagoon, Monkey Island and a few other places and it was again money well spent. We hired a private boat for the day and our skipper was fantastic and spoke English well enough for us to be able to have somewhat of a conversation and for him to know what we wanted to see etc. It was a half day tour which allowed us to come back to Zeavola at lunch time to enjoy the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the resort. The team at the dive shop, as well as at reception also went above and beyond to help us save our go pro footage onto a DVD disc for us, as we did not travel with one ourselves, just that little bit of extra service goes a long way.

My husband and I are already planning another trip to Thailand, hopefully next year, Zeavola will definitely be on our list of places to go back and visit.

Thank you to the whole Zeavola team for making our trip amazing, we look forward to coming back to your property in the near future.

Room Tip: Spend the extra money and book a beach villa, it was amazing!

This was the fourth hotel in our trip which started in Singapore, then Phuket, then on to Phi Phi... When I was looking for hotels on Phi Phi, this seemed more expensive and I was worried when I booked, but when we arrived, WOW.

We took a ferry from Phuket, and dropped people at Tonsai bay, the boat then took us up north of the island, where we waited for a few minutes for a long tail boat to pick us up. The long tail boat took us to the beach right out the front of the hotel, and that was where the amazing service stated. As we walked up to check in, the rain started, very heavy, however the check in staff were no accommodating and we sat with them a while before they took us out to the villa.

The villa was beautiful, every little touch was just perfect. The bed was locked away in a room, but everything else, the dressing table, mini bar, chairs, beds on floor, were all outside under cover... just beautiful.

We only stayed one night, which we really regretted after checking in, so we wanted to make the most of our stay there. Just after checking in we headed to the beach, so peaceful, and amazing sand and blue waters. We were wondering if the phi phi was like it looks in the pics, as I had seen so many bad reviews about the over crowding, but this hotel and the location avoids this. People are only on the beach if they are staying at the hotel, or at the other 2 hotels close by. We headed out on a snorkelling trip in the afternoon, to the nearby islands - Mosquito and Bamboo Island.. the snorkelling was great, and great value as it was just us two in the long tail boat.

In the evening we had a great thai meal, on the beach, the setting was perfect... and the food great too, along with the great choice of cocktails...

As well as what I have mentioned, its other little touches they do.... When we returned from our evening meal, the maid has been and made the bed for the evening, untucked the sheets, placed two little teddies on the bed, and left a souvenir with a sweet dreams from zeavola message. Again, when we arrived from breakfast, the bed has been made, and there were flowers on the bed!

I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone heading the Phi Phi islands, just perfect! We can't wait to book our next trip there!! :)

Room Tip: We had a garden room!

It's basically exactly what you would want from koh phi phi. It's exactly what I wanted - minus the Mosquitos!! They should really do something about them. FANTASTIC hotel - we upgraded to the room that had 2 showers - one is outdoors and it's exceptional. Also fantastic staff - Abdollah, Jen, Niko (hello and thanks again!) were great and very patient. Recommended!!!

Had the best stay of our entire trip at Zeavola... The attention to detail and to guests is amazing! We stayed in one of the few beachfront rooms which was incredible. The restaurant has amazing food and every meal was really tasty and impressive. The beachfront and water in front of the hotel has crystal clear and warm water. We also spent 2 hours at the spa which is great. Will definitely go back there when next in Thailand and recommend it to all our friends. The hotel is pretty far from Phi Phi town (the main beach strip with the clubs) so would recommend taking a speedboat as opposed to a longboat, although we took a long boat back one night in our drunken state and the experience was pretty cool and the scenery even super impressive in the evening. Even quite sobering. Oh, the hotel pool was also amazing!!

Room Tip: Beach front room is amazing if you can get it - but there are only 3 available. I'm sure the oth...
