“Don't stay here!”
Reviewed 6 December 2011

Spent three nights in this dirty, shabby hotel. Moved onto the Phi Phi Village when a room became available.
Stayed in a 'deluxe' pool side bungalow which was in desperate need of refurbishment. The walls were dirty, the curtails were black and mouldy and the furniture was ready for a needy bonfire.
The bathroom/toilet (no separation) was a dirty mouldy looking wetroom. The shower was fixed to the wall and couldnt be adjusted-the water just basically trickled down the wall. Not a clensing experience. It's easier and more practical to dip in the sea to get clean.
There is not safe in the room. You have to put your valuables in a locker in reception which costs 20baht every time you use it-rip off!.
Breakfast is not a good experience. Food is left uncovered and attracts flies, and there isnt much in the way of choice-fruit, toast and omelete-to get stuck into at the sticky tables.
The staff were unhelpful and were more interested in using the internet than offering a decent service. There didnt seem to be any management so dont bother complaining about anything.
There really isnt anything good to say about this hotel. It's a shame because Phi Phi is a beautiful place and this hotel is a blot on its landscape.
Please, dont stay there!

My girlfriend and I staryed on Koh Phi Phi late Nov 2011. We arrived on the ferry from Phuket and chose accomodation from the touts that accost you as soon as you disembark. This can be a little daunting as you really don't get an idea of the scale of the island until you've been there for a day or two.

We opted for the Andaman Beach because we had been advised that this area was away from the party noise. We paid 2550BHT (~£51) per night for 3 nights, which is more than we had intended to pay but was acceptable.

We quickly found out that Phi Phi is a very small place and all hotels in the two main bays are a short walk away. It is apparent from Trip Advisor that you shouldn't expect too much from the accomodation in Phi Phi, wherever you stay. The best you can hope for is a clean room and a quiet nights sleep.

The bungalow was very basic and dated, directly opposite a building site. I assume this is due to constant expansion on the island, rather than as a result of the tsunami. However, we had a comfortable few nights stay and were just glad we had chosen a good location.

The pool at the hotel is nice enough, although we opted to spend our time trekking the island and enjoying the beautiful beaches rather than sitting by the pool. Long beach is a short walk/climb or a taxi boat away - well worth a visit.

The breakfast was nice and it was extremely pleasant eating while looking out over the bay.

We stayed on Phi Phi for longer that we expected because we were enjoying the island so much, but we moved on to Garden Home Bungalows because it was more modest and we didn't need the mod cons.

Overall I would recommend this hotel, but only because your options on Phi Phi are limited.

We stayed in this hotel for a few nights in Phi Phi and it was a huge mistake. After spending the day on the beach and in the ocean, it was terrible have to take a cold shower with bad water pressure. If you can afford something else in this price range, and you like to have a warm shower and nice bathroom, don't stay here. The breakfast was okay and the location was good. The room was simply not worth the money we paid -- it was well overpriced for what we got. Considering the dark dingy bathroom with cold showers, we would not stay here again.

Stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe bungalow for 2 with an extra bed as there were 3 of us. Bungalow was excellent; tastefully decorated & lovely outdoor space to chill or hang wet clothes! Beds were comfy (even the extra fold up), ac was good, fridge, comp water & tea/cofee making facilities a bonus, toilet was nice with an 'almost' outdoor shower, rooms were well cleaned every day. Staff were friendly & pleasant & we got a nominal discount for booking & paying for 3 nights from the offset. Resort has a good quiet location away from the main 'madness', and it's only a short stroll away when you want it.

We were slightly concerned at how busy the pool/restauarant area was when we first arrived but it seems that tour groups book it for lunch, other than that time of day it was peaceful with lovely views of Phi Phi Ley. Negatives? Charged for wifi (same throughout Phi Phi) & the signal was rubbish at our bungalow. The breakfast wasn't as good as others we've had but passable.

Would definately recommend.

Room Tip: Deluxe bungalow at the back - nice & quiet!

Absolutely lovely location right on the tonsai bay beach. The hotel had very nicely kept grounds with a big pool and a large jacuzzi. I went in low season so the hotel was quite quiet, which was exactly what I was looking for, it was very relaxing!
The hotel is situated at the end of the beach, so is a 3-5 minute walk from the main town, but I didn't find this a problem as there are stalls, shops and bars all the way along the path in to town and there is always the beach to walk along which has a perfect view of Phi Phi Leh Island.
The bungalow I stayed in was perfect for what I wanted, a good size with a TV and a fridge. The bathroom was slightly small and could do with a lick of paint, but it was clean.
If I stayed there again I might pay slightly extra to have an air conditioned room, as I chose to just have a fan to save money, but it was very hot and needed air conditioning really.

The staff are extrmely friendly and helpful, and will go out of their way to offer a great service. The day I left the hotel, they arranged for the porter to carry my bags for me to the pier, as there are no cars on the island, which was really thoughful of them.

Overall a really lovely place to stay, paradise!

Room Tip: I would go for an air conditioned room rather than fan only, because it does get very humid.

We were sold this resort on the ferry to Phi Phi by Phi Phi Family Co, he claimed that there was no accommodation available on the Island so we brought into this and ended up paying $2050.00 Baht per couple for which he told us was a higher end resort - Far from it, this resort is located at the end of Phi Phi therefore you have to walk quite the distance to get to good restaurants and shops etc no fun when you want to relax. The resort if over crowded with Asian tourists, with about 1 million kids dive bombing into the tiny pool, provinf to be a pain in the butt. The rooms are ok, though the bathroom is falling apart and our toilet had some sort of brown marks stained on the seat, towels are ripped and old! Also a big rubbish dump out the back, nice one! Breakfast - Dont even go there aye, its crap or if you want some plain rice, and a curry go for it, the line is huge waiting for an egg to be cooked on a hot plate, one guys cooking 2 eggs at a time, come on, not much to choose from at all !!!!. The ignorant guy at reception with the long mullett cant speak English and was trying to charge us again, he was super painful! Resort has potential, over crowded and dirty - don't stay here!
