“Room bad, pool/location amazing”

The room was over priced and to get aircon in same room costs an extra 600 baht. From experience in Thailand I haven't needed aircon so didn't bother-tip make sure you get it here as bathroom has no ventilation so makes room very humid. The bathroom truly was gross. Pool and hotel position is absolutely beautiful, unfortunate the pool is only open from 10am-7pm.

A big thanks (Kop khun krap) to the staff, for replacing our mattress today. Granted the mattress we slept on last night should of been retired a long time ago. With that being said we asked the pleasant front desk staff this morning to see if they could replace our mattress or move us to a new room. No arguments, or excuses, just a smiling reply - "yes sir, can do". A few hours later and done deal! I'm sorta glad this hotel does not rate higher.. It's my fifth trip to phi phi and I've been able to stay here without reservations four times.. This hotel offers everything We look for in a moderate priced resort. Beginning with helpful accommodating staff (who remember us), a great location, good pool, pleasant tropical surroundings.. Breakfast is okay, and the beach out front is one of the better locations, albeit it's a far cry from some of the beaches Thailand is known for. It is one of the better ones on phi phi don though...

Also thanks to some of trip advisors previous contributors for assuring this little gem remains out of phi phi's top hotels, although we are sorry to hear your stay was not as planned. Koh Phi Phi Don is a backpacker, hippyish island. The average age is likely below 25, however the more matured traveller can enjoy this area as well.. If I may suggest, support these "2 & 3 star resorts" and keep the so called "5 star" resorts in Phuket and the mainland, where they belong..

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and we thought it was very over priced. We stayed in a hostel for £18 and it was nicer than the bungalow that we stayed in at andaman, the breakfast was nice but rooms were very standard the electricity kept cutting out and the bathroom was full of flys and Mosquitos. There a lot of day trips to phi phi and they all seemed to get dropped off at andaman where they eat and use the swimming pool. If you are trying to stay away from the party side of things you will want to stay down this end of the island and it is not so far should you wish to go for a drink or two. The hippies bar is great with a very chilled back atmosphere with live music every night with a fire show on the beach although the waitresses don't speak very good English and be clear if you are ordering food as I didn't get my full order. Loved phi phi don just wished we stayed somewhere a little nicer.

I felt this resort was well overpriced, even for Phi Phi.

When you arrive there is someone to help with your bags for the 15min walk which is good. The resort is at the quieter end of the beach, however the swimming part is not very nice. Long Beach was 10min further and was beautiful to swim at. The place does have a good pool with chairs to sit out on. The staff are reasonably friendly for such a large place. The buffet breakfast was okay, nothing too fancy. The delux room was not even close to the name. The tv had only 4 channels. The shower was a trickle. It got so hot in the room I had to have the aircon on all night. If I was paying $30 a night then that would have been happy, but I was paying triple that. Overall, I feel it was overpriced.

Stayed there for 2 days with family. Located at one end of the road along the beach at Tonsai Bay, this hotel has the advantage of being away from the crowd and yet close by the happening places, like the restaurant and pub. There is porter to transport your luggage from the pier using cart. The swimming pool is well designed to suit kids and adults. Breakfast is acceptable as one can't expect too much variety in an island setup where supplies are all shipped in. We stayed in a deluxe chalet of pretty good size, but the scorching sun heat it up like an oven on day time and it takes at least an hour for the a/c to have effect.
Overall all experience is ok and can be better if one does not compare it with other luxurious hotels on mainland.

Basic bungalows with private bathroom and a porch looking out at the Andaman Sea. The owner is very friendly. For 800 baht/night you can't go wrong. If you want luxery go to the villas next door for 8,000 baht/night or better yet Phuket.

This is chill time Thai island old school. If you want a quite getaway on Jum look no further.

The food was fair to midlin' and reasonable. There are a couple really nice dinner spots just down the beach when you want to splurge. Wifi is slow but that is Koh Jum.

Room Tip: Get a bungalow near the beach.

Stayed here for 3 nights touring the islands. We got a great deal at below half price, full price would have been unfair for pretty basic rooms. The villa bungalows are nice but basic with only one power point. A good refurb would sort the villas out, although some other larger villas looked newer. This hotel is on the outskirts of town so ideal if you don't want the boom boom disco effects of the other side of the island, which is only a 15 minute pleasant stroll through the winding streets of Phi Phi. A must do by the way to see the fire shows and experience the night life! Pleasant enough but only at discounted rates.
