Superb drinks location directly on the beach

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 Dec 2016via mobile
I've never stayed in the resort, but during my time on Koh Tao, my boyfriend and I spent a lot of time having drinks and food here. We loved this restaurant as it was really chilled, superbly priced and friendly staff. I really enjoyed the milkshakes and cold coffees!

My partner and I stayed here for three nights when travelling around Thailand and it was probably the nicest place we stayed.

The reception staff were helpful and informative, the room was large and clean and it is located perfectly on the beach. I have seen some previous reviews that has complained about the noise of the clubs on the beach at night, but luckily this wasn't a problem for us as our room was at the very front of the hotel. I wouldn't let the fact you may get a bit of noise put you off this hotel though as many hotels along the beach will have exactly the same problem.

The restaurant here is great and recently priced and you are provided with vouchers for a free breakfast.

The check out time is pretty early at 10.30, however, they do offer you a place to keep your bags for free and a place to shower.

The only negatives I would say would be that the wifi is a little poor in areas and there is a funny smell from the drains when the shower is turned on.

Other than that it has been great! Would definitely recommend.

Myself and three friends stayed at this hotel we did not prebook we turned up and managed to get a room last minute at a good price. This hotel was exactly as we needed as we was only here one night, the staff seemed friendly and helpful and the breakfast in their beach restaurant was good!

We were so pleasantly surprised with this hotel! We were met by a member of staff at the pier who helped us with our luggage and took us to the hotel free of charge. Our room was also excellent clean and very comfortable! There was a slight smell of sewage but nothing too disastrous ! We had massages at the onsite massage place where as guests you receive a 10% discount ! The hotel is located on the main drag of ko Tao plenty of restraunts bars etc to choose from! We would definitely recommend this hotel ! Not a bad word to say !

Arrived to a room which had not been displayed on the booking site. The standard room was quite run down so after a quick trip to reception we upgraded to a lower level double superior. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and very big.Location of the hotel is excellent on the beach with its own bathing area and also directly off main street with bars and food. Staff pleasant but as I said only downside would be to make sure you are getting the room you want. Would recommend.

Room tip: ground floor garden view nearest the beach.

We organised a transfer through the hotel from the ferry port which was free. However we were met by the guy and had to wait another 20mins to see if anyone else on the ferry was going there. We were then taken to the taxi truck and the guy went to a different pier as another ferry had arrived and he wanted to see if anyone on there was for the hotel! In the end it ended up being just myself and my partner, yet we waited 40mins until we actually left for the hotel. They need better organisation here.
We booked a deluxe double room which was fine, clean and air conditioner was good. It did start leaking on our last night.
We didn't have any issues with sewerage smell.
The hotel does include a restaurant bar right on the beach which is great, however at night it does play music until the early hours. We had no problems as our room wasn't too close, however if you were right by the bar it would be very loud.
The pool is nice, but the roctopus dive school were using it both times we went, practising their skills before going in the sea which ruins the atmosphere somewhat.
In terms of staff, we had one lovely young girl at reception who was good to deal with, however on our last day when we were organising check out and transfer to the port, we had Kung, who was very rude. Her customer service was not great, she was dismissive and cold, and I had a very hard time dealing with her attitude.
They packed us a take away breakfast the night before we left, as our ferry was so early, which was a nice plus!
