“Awesome. I thought the staff was great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2010

I would definitely recommend this place. It is no Ritz, but it was very nice and a great value. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The location was also excellent. It is located on the northern end of Sai Ree Beach, but it is still conveniently close to the restaurants and shops in Sai Ree beach.

They upgraded us to an ocean view room when we arrived. The rooms were very nice with everything we needed. We were able to get wifi, but I think that was just because of our proximity to the front desk. My only complaint about the room was that the pillows were a bit hard, but that didn't stop me from sleeping like a log.

I had no problems with the staff. They were all friendly and "Sam" the guy who waited on us for breakfast always remembered what we liked.

This resort was very quiet and peaceful. The beach in front of the hotel was also very nice. If you are looking for a party, try a bit further south down Sai Ree Beach.

This is the choice of mid range in Saree beach. If you have some 2000 BHT budget, then this is a good choice.
We stayed @ Aircon bungalow with sea view, right in front of the sea. It has a great location, the beach is all white sand and very soft, shallow water for you to do nice snorkeling. The room has free wifi, kettle (some coffee and tea), fridge, air-con and fan. All furniture are bamboo made and very thai style. bed sheet is clean.
We stayed 2 nights, no body does any room clean during our stay. The staff is not very friendly, they are doing their job but seems don't like the job they are doing. It's just a living they are making.

I stayed here through New Way Diving and payed 750 baht a night for a fan bungalow, no hot water (but due to outside temperature it's still very good showering). I find this a very good rate for this nice bungalow. There were indeed some constructions, but this was not disturbing to me, instead it was promising for a next time. The bad thing was indeed the staff. Not so much the entire staff actually, but one person, the manager in particular, who was rude. She in fact told me when checking out how much tip I had to leave... The rest of the staff was very kind warm and helpful though. Location at the end of the beach is also great, beautiful and quiet and to the village was only a beautiful 5-10 minute walk on the beach, so no problems there. Make sure to book ahead or make good price arragnements. Some unprepared tourists next to me in a taxi back to Mae Hat payed 5000 baht for a, though be it a very nice, bungalow because they came very late and needed somewhere to sleep.

Nice location, on the end of the beach, but to far from the center.
Taxi will charge you 200 to go to the centre, and 300 to come back again.
There was big construction on the bungalows, all dirt in the resort, they did not tell us.
Staff is not friendly, owner is terrible rude, not polite at all.
We booked a beachfront bungalow which was not free when we arrived.
We had to give our passport, they keep it during your stay,
this is not nessasery at other places.
To expansive for what you get, we went to another resort instead of staying here!

This hotel is in a beautiful location on the Sairee Beach Koh Tao. However we were disappointed with the room facilities, no Kettle, WIFI or TV. The mirror had no sockets near them, so when drying my hair I moved it and found a cockroach on the back! We asked to check out the next day, and the very disagreable manageress/owner told us we had to stay another day or leave and pay for another day. When we said this was unfair the lady refused to give me back my passport . We had no choice but to stay the extra night. It is also a long walk along the beach to get to the centre. Too expensive for the quality of accom and the facilities offered. Better cheaper hotels on offer. No pool.

Stayed for three nights for diving in Koh Tao. We paid 2000thb for air con standard room. It was very basic and more expensive than nearly all the hotels on our trip (tourist trap). The sheets seemed sandy and there were no mod cons. However the air con and the fan worked well and there was a basic but hot shower and a bug free bathroom.

The location was great, away from the hussle and noise of sairee beach so very quiet but only a two minute walk down to the diving schools.

The breakfast was very nice, but the one thing that spoiled the hotel experience for us was the presence of a huge amount of flea ridden dogs. We both have dogs at home so we are used to them but this was something else. They were friendly so much so they sat under your table which is why we never ate at the hotel as we didn't want to catch fleas. The staff did nothing about the dogs despite alot of the guests looked uncomfortable that they were there. If you don't like dogs don't stay here.

Most of the hotels we saw we fairly basic, Koh Tao is a tourist trap but the diving was spectacular therefore the prices are a little elevated.

Make sure you say hello to 'Sam' the head waited very nice and very well mannered, with great service and very good English.

Good Points
Location
Air Con and Cleanl rooms
Hot Water
Good Service

Bad Points
Flea Ridden Dogs
Basic Rooms, no mod cons and not very big

Back to basics, a fun experience and we would stay again due to the location. Shame about the dogs!

Yes yes, great location and at the quiter end of the lovely sairee beach. It is such a shame that one of the key female staff members had to be so grumpy. She immediately got upset when we arrived becauseshe had been given mis information about the number of rooms we required, she had held 2 rooms but we only booked 1 and somehow this was our fault. She was also stroppy about the price even when I showed her and e mail from the manager to say we had a reduced rate after Jan 7th. The wait staff are lovely though.
