“If you dont want to get ill, dont stay here.”

Only good thing i can say about this place is to praise the two lovely friendly young boys who worked at the pool bar. Other than that, no way. We stayed in the cheapest rooms (bungalows) which look nice from the outside but inside they stink and are full of mosquitos, the wood floors are cracked, there are holes in the walls and you can hear all the music blasting from all the bars all night. Our shower head was dirty and horrible and the water smelt like eggs, when you turned on the broken tap, you ended up washing your feet as well as your hands and lots of mosquitos would fly out from behind the sink. we went to reception to ask if we could have a shower somewhere else and we were rudely refused and told to use the pool showers (even smellier and full of lizards) when we said that no this wasnt good enough and asked to be allowed somewhere decent to shower or they were getting a bad review, the lady just started ignoring us instead and we had no choice but to deluge ourselves in the foul smelling water which came out in a single trickle, while constantly fighting off the mossies. I even got bitten in my face in my sleep. When we went in the murky pool, one of my friends came out with green tinged skin, when we showed the hotel staff the only response was 'its because you white.' Absolutely disgusted and never felt clean there once.

Be aware that the bar in the swimming pool is the first stop for the Pub Crawl, which means that every second night you will have dozens of drunken guys drinking and peeing in the pool. The bar is open 24 hours so the noise never end and it seems to be THE thing to do to go for a swim at 5 am...and the most unbelievable thing is that because the pool is open during the night, they have to clean it in the morning so we could never use it before 3 pm...and it was still disgusting!
Because of the location and the crowds that comes every night, the bungalows are really unsafe and nobody seems to care...somebody even took the towels we had on the terrace to jump in the pool.
I would never go back/recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed here for two nights; we are both22yr old graduates, looking for somewhere in a great location. The standard room we booked was similar to that of a prison cell, no windows, round the back of the cleaners corridor. We asked to move (having to pay 400baht extra for a deluxe room), which was infested with mosquitoes! The room was right next to the loud lotus bar on the beach. The pool had such high chlorine levels, that it turned my highlighted hair green!! The towels and bikinis were stained with chlorine. The staff were very unsympathetic and just laughed!!
Would not stay here again, the location was great, but there are many more hotels around the sairee beach area for better value

Room Tip: DO NOT book a standard room

Stayed here for 3 nights after arriving from koh pangnan. One of a few places which have rooms which don't require you to pay for a diving course. We had seen online for a reasonable price but upon arrival the prices were double at 800baht a night for a basic room. The staff were from the onset extremely rude and out to get as much money as they could! The room was ok, standard fan which did nothing and remained stiflingly hot. The water was a disgusting yellow colour so we resorted to using bottled water for bushing teeth, and then to top it off the shower was cold no hot water at all. I asked at reception to which the women rudely stated that 'maybe we should have asked of there was hot water included'...
We also asked to see the rooms advertised online which were half the price, the main man there got very shifty and said they don't have them it a different place but I showed him the address and he then said 'if you want to see then you give me your room key and check out now if you don't want to stay'... Odd behaviour considering I wasn't asking to check out and had already paid the 1st nights fee.
The pool was horrible, so unclean, clearly not looked after and unfortunately myself and friend got sick from it and stayed out for the remaining days.
Only positive about this place is that it's close to the beach and bars, look elsewhere and pay for pool use at seashell resort next door.

We booked a Standard room here for 3 nights, when we arrived to the room it looked Dark, dingy and the walls were filthy! Doesnt Take much to give it a lick of paint! We decided we couldnt stay in there so asked for an upgrade to deluxe, this room was much nicer! Few little spiders in the bath but i guess that cant be helped. At this point we were happy although we didnt think it was worth the money. At about 5pm my friend had a bath, not long after i started to run the water for mine, went to Check and the water was Orange! After running the tap and flushing the toilet we realised it was all the same so i went to reception to ask if there was a problem, the receptionist radioed someone and said go back to the room and someone will come, 30 minutes later nobody had arrived so i went to reception again. The receptionist didnt try to Call anyone again just told me water is finished and something else Which i didnt understand so i told her i dont understand, she just walked past me and to our room so i followed, after playing around with the water for a while she told me its fine, so i checked and it was still orange, i said why is it this colour and her answer was its not the water its the light Making it Look that colour! As you can imagine i was getting pretty annoyed by this point so i just said ok and she left. We then went to reception again where the Same Lady was along with another, the other Lady told me they had run out of water Which comes from tanks but they are refilling it and sometimes it goes that colour but it will be fine in 1 hour so i said ok fair enough and we waited...went to eat, came back and still the same over 2 hours later, went to reception again where there were 3 members of staff were, the lady we first spoke to began to laugh as we came in and complained, we spoke to a man and ended up demanding a refund, he agreed to give us a refund for 2 nights he just asked that we would email the company we booked through to inform then so the hotel would get the money back from them, i said that is fine. Emailed the company and went to Check out the next day, the Same man at reception then tells us he will give us the money we paid for our upgrade but we will need to email the company to get the rest of the money back so i said that isnt what you told us yesterday! He just Kept repeating himself and began to get angry. I said to him if that is the case why didnt you tell us last night and he couldnt answer.

Basically the Staff are unbelivably unhelpful and rude! If they had explained the situation in the first place we probably would of been understanding, they just continusously lie to you!

Staff could Do with taking a walk down the road to simple Life resort and getting some advice from their staff who are excellent!

It has a good location in Sairee Beach, close to everything!
Restaurants, bars, shops!
In front of the hotel, the beach has a bad smell, so 5 min walk to the right you can swim without any problems!
We booked one night at XX expecting a sea view, but when we arrived we got the information that just the expensive ones have sea view (apartments on the top). It is hard to sleep with the lotus bar in front of the beach.
The second night we swaped for a standart room, paying 10 US less. The bathroom was with a horrible smell, and all this kind of room was full booked. ( overall this room was better than the expensive one, this one has frigobar! The staff ofered a new bungalow, close to the swimming pool for almost the same price of the standart room ( veeeery good bungalow! Air con, fan, hot water - the bed is not so comfy).
On the island you can see other bungalows cheaper than this... But everything depend on what you looking for! This hotel is close to Young spirit! We want to relex, so we moved to freedom beach, with very cheap prices. (And we rent a bike of course)

Stayed here for 3 nights, as a young couple backpacking around Thailand. Arrived and prices seemed cheap for a bungalow. Opted for fan only. Big mistake. Fan blew around hotair. Inside bungalow was actually hotter than outside. Room was never cleaned during whole stay. And looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years previous. Bathroom was detached from bedroom. With wide gap for people to see in or animals and creatures to get in. If you are given a room/ bungalow close to the pool expect to be kept up all night by rowdiness. Untill 5 am there were parties going on, and after this time the sun was unbearable in the room. Air con is a must. We requested to change to an air con room but we're told there was none available. This is no surprise as the fan rooms were abismal. One positive from this place was the location-close to the beach. And the pool, cheap drinks and good atmosphere. Although pool could do with a clean. Can get better value for money elsewhere.
