“Really good”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

Stayed here for 5 nights and was really impressed.

Obviously a new concrete hotel block but with plenty of character and well finished. Huge room which was kept very clean by the staff with everything you could possibly need. We stayed in an aircon room which also came with a fan - the fan was more than enough to keep the room cool. Nice sized balcony also with great views.

Located in Mae Head the hotel is only a short 5-10 minute walk from the pier - when you arrive ignore the taxi carnage and walk straight uphill, you can't miss it. Well positioned between Sairee Beach (20 minute walk) and the Southern beaches (30 minute walk). Rent a scooter and everything is a short trip but do your homework…from what I read and then saw first hand in Koh Tao was there are some real cowboys (usually non Thai) that operate rentals just out to con you and charge you for imaginary damage.

In my opinion best value hotel on the island for what you get, good option also for couples who want a bit of peace and quiet away from the main party areas.

Helpful staff, great location behind one of the main streets so no noise. Room was very clean, with a good sized balcony for a very reasonable price. Fridge, and fan included in our price but could have had aircon for a litrle extra. Would certainly go back.

The Good:
Nadapa resort was a beautiful new-looking budget hotel - a lot better than we expected. The staff weren't necessarily friendly, but were very helpful if we asked any questions.
Rooms were immaculate and it was great having a balcony to sit and enjoy the rural view of the hills.
It's off the main road as well so it's nice and quiet. However, please note, that this is about a 20 minute walk to Sairee beach. However, I really enjoyed the Mae Haad area and there's heaps of diving places, restaurants and places to hire bikes so don't be discouraged!

The Bad:
There was no breakfast option and it was a little hard to find as it isn't located properly on Google Maps.

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra for the room with the air-con, it's worth it. Plus we got a balcony.

Had a great stay at Nadapa. Clean and easy going place, located in the centre of Mae Haad which is the most central village on Koh Toa. No party hardy over there, but a relaxed atmosphere with some good restaurants in the neighbourhood (Mae Haad offers the best starting point for exploring the island). Besides that Nadapa 'resort' has a nice, friendly and calm staff, always there to help. The 'studio' which I slept in was brand new, quite big and had all the basic things you need (for sure luxurious was the flatscreen with Fox tv ;) Cleaned on daily basis, superb bed, excellent and silent working airco and fan, fridge, couch, etc. You go Nadapa: lean and mean!

Small remark: the wifi connection could be more 'stable'.

With its bright, tasteful design, meticulous gardens and efficient service, Nadapa Resort is a delightful retreat after a day on the waters, beaches or trails of Koh Tao.

Its garden gnomes, which may take over one day, for now still add whimsy and joy. Parts of the property yet to be developed are bordered with potted plants.

The rooms are divided between a three story hotel and half a dozen bungalows. All are neat and tidy and all have porches or balconies. We stayed on the third floor of the hotel and enjoyed views of a forested slope, the sea, and a sunset every night.

The rooms, all ensuite and air conditioned, are colorful and functional with plenty of counter space and an exposed cement motif which adds a modern, sturdy feeling.

The WiFi even works in the farthest rooms - almost all the time.

Located straight up from the pier in Mae Haad, and half a block from Koh Tao's main road, Nadapa gives you convenient access to all the island's attractions.

You can rent motorbikes, bicycles or ATVs nearby, but Koh Tao is small enough that you can get virtually anywhere on foot as well. The pier is a five minute walk, it's a pleasant 15 minute walk to Sairee Beach, and about 20 minutes down the main road to Chalok.

Koh Tao seems hell bent on losing its charm to overdevelopment a la Koh Samui, but its rugged, rock-strewn terrain is likely to make it a long haul. Nevertheless, conspicuous consumption is starting to scar the hillsides, particularly at the south end. So go soon.

As a one-year-old hotel, Nadapa is part of the growth, but since it's in town, is not really part of the problem. It's a stretch for the budget traveler at 1500 baht, but a good value.

Room Tip: Rooms on the third floor of the hotel have a great view.

nadapa resort was a lovely place to stay. The staff were great, the little bungalows were cute and were very clean and modern with a lovely comfy bed and a hot shower. We loved it that much we changed our stay from 5 nights to 7 nights. It's very central to the beach and literally a few minutes walk from the pier.....

We extended our stay twice because we like it so much here. The rooms and bathrooms are really nice and cleaned daily and your given fresh towels and sheets. The gardens are some if the prettiest gardens I have ever seen, they take so much care keeping this place tidy and beautiful. The staff are very friendly, it's peaceful and quiet and one of the most charming hotels I've come across. We don't want to leave, Ko Tao is amazing.
