We stayed only 1 night on our way from Mae Salong to Sukothai. The place has a bit of a backpacker's feel in a positive way. Laid back and relaxed. Luckily we booked 2 adjoining upstairs rooms (with small private hallway) in advance as all others were taken. Ours were on the street side and thus noisy. For the rest, also thanks to the aircons, they were perfect, certainly considering the price. The guesthouse is perfectly located with a nice terrace (where they serve a great breakfast) and garden at the river, and close to plenty shops and restaurants. Staff and the non-Thai owner are very helpful in making all kind of arrangements and clearly care for your well being without being too present. Overall, we would not have mind staying a few more days !

We stayed at the guesthouse for two nights and loved it. We stayed in the family room which has a double bunk and queen bed. There was plenty of space for us all and we liked that there was no tv. The guesthouse has a lovely restuarant/common area that overlooks the river and this was a great space for playing board games and relaxing. We have booked in for the last night of our holiday in a couple of weeks. We thought 1200 baht a night was a good price for this room with air con. We didn't eat at the guest-house but enjoyed exploring the restuarants nearby. We found nothing to complain about.

Room tip: Room 10 is the family room which are rare in Thailand.

No tv-yay! No aircon (in our room)-none needed, we were on the river, with a fan and lovely breeze. This antique wooden hotel has a great vibe and perfect location. Owner is super cool. This is probably my second favorite hotel in the world. If we ever return to Lampang, would never stay anywhere else.

Room tip: The rooms on the river have great balconies, cool breezes.

A delightful guest house in a lovely location on the Wang riverside. Inexpensive but with all facilities, including option of air-con rooms, large balconies overlooking the river, efficient, hot showers en suite. Big, comfy beds with mosquito netting (useful - it is near to water!). Lovely lady proprietor to welcome you who speaks many languages including Thai, English, several other European, Chinese and Japanese! Her staff are all attentive and friendly. Breakfast is extra, but again reasonably priced, including Continental or American style (eggs to order), and a large a-la-carte selection. In the evening guests can help themselves to the well-stocked frig of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for that romantic night-cap sitting by the riverside with views of the illuminated bridges, night sky, etc. Note what you drink on slips provided and pay when you check-out. I shall stay there again, for sure.

Room tip: If you find fans inadequate choose an air-con room for that little extra cost, and a guaranteed good nights sleep. It can get hot and sticky in Thailand!

We've been travelling for almost 2 months in Thailand now and we've seen quite a lot of different hostels and B&Bs. This one is nice, comfortable and well located. Our room was small but the bed and the douche were great. Place is nicely decorated and there is zen. Breakfast is great, try the yoghurt and muesli with fruit.
Spend two nights here and that was enough. The city is not that huge but nice though with not so many farangs
