We stayed 3 nights at Hop Inn Lampang. We were a bit confuse at first since there are 2 Hop Inn hotels in Lampang in a very close proximity of each other. Regardless, the checkin was fast and there was 100 baht deposit for the key. Hair dryer can also be borrowed for 100 baht deposit as well. The room was nice and clean and wifi was fast and good signal. Carparks were spacious and can park many cars. The most downside of the hotel was that on the first night we stayed at the hotel, there were drunk group of people staying on our whole floor and they were very noisy until around 5am!! I did report it to the reception but seems like its impossible to stop those drunk people from being very noisy since they were drunk and all. The second night was nice and quiet tho. Then again, third night (Friday), there was a night event markets so it was very noisy again but only until around midnight which was bearable. Overall, if it wasn't for a very noisy environment, I would love to be back to the hotel again.

I had stayed there for 5 nights on my seminar trip in Lumpang. There are good and not ok.

Price: 650 Baht/night/room
No breakfast just instant beverage available in the morning.

Room: it is just ok. I felt that the room was not well cleaned. Bed sheet is worn out. Towels are old and tough. There are small refrigerator with 2 bottles of water (every day). In the bathroom, there are shampoo and liquid soap. Wet and dry area is separated. There is tiny balcony at the back of the room.

In room wifi: it lasts for 3 days after that you have to require the new one. Signal is not strong.

Location: good but hard to find nearby market/convenient store/restaurant. You have to take a car (taxi) to town. It's 10 minutes walk to transportation centre.

We are staying in lampang and a local Thai friend booked the first night for us, so cheap!

The room is quite small and modern, we had the ground floor. The staff cone in everyday and clean the room and replace the water. The only small issue was noise from the hall but we found that motel is mainly used by Thai people passing through and they get home quite late. We could not see any farangs . We can walk to big c, homepro, makro and central plaza. If your female I suggest you use an umbrella to block the sun whilst your walking in between places and there is no shades awning skywalk like Bangkok

The Hop Inn chain of hotels seem to have the formula right if this location is anything to go by. Cheap and Cheerful. The hotel is new, so the rooms look good.
Beds in cheaper hotels in Thailand can be ridiculously hard, but the bed here was fantastic. Rooms seem quiet.
It is a little way out from the old town and centre of Lampang, but there is plenty of transport available. The location is very close to the swankiest hotel in town, so you can pick up whatever transport you need from there, including horse drawn carriages..... Good food at the small restaurant on street corner next door, but expect to pay a few baht more than the centre of town.
On the negative side there is only one lift for 6 floors... the rooms are small.... water in shower is at best tepid..... and no kettle in room. But for 550 to 600 baht... a bargain.

thisa is our second hotel on our holiday. We came here after a bad time at the Green Tulip in Chiang Mai and this hotel was such a welcome break after that.
The hotel is well located and comfortable. It is similar in concept to the Tune Hotels in Malaysia, but actually it is better and cheaper. The room was clean and comfortable and we really appreciated the peace and quiet there. It's a shortish walk to the centre of Lampang, which has far fewer tourists than Chiang Mai.
Also there are no pushy owners touting rubbish tours like in the Green Tulip.
Thank you for the rest and allowing us to return to sanity!
