“The longest wooden Mon bridge.”
Review of Wooden Mon Bridge

Attraction details
Owner description: It is the longest wooden bridge in Thailand and it was built for comfortable transportation of people living in Sangkhlaburi and Mon Villagers. Nowadays the bridge is closed for vehicles but you can still walk over the wooden bridge. The bridge is a popular place to see an unforgettable sunset or sunrise at the dam. You also can take a bath like the Mon kids.

“The longest wooden Mon bridge.”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

I was driving from Bangkok to the far west village in Thailand names "Sangkhlaburi", located in Karnchanaburi Province for only one reason. It's a classical and famous wooden bridge, Mon Bridge.

I also saw some local traditions such as offering foods for the monk and singing a song by Myanmar's nuns. After that, I hired a boat to see an ancient temple among the water. Unfortunately, at that time, there are a lot of water so I can see the temple just one half of it but it's looks beautiful and looks interesting.

Sangkhlaburi is such a one of quite and native village. If you have 1-2 days time in Thailand, I must visit there.

“Nice wooden bridge”
Reviewed 13 August 2013

It could be said that the bridge is the main spot of Sangkhlaburi. The bridge is very long and it connect one village with another village. The local people use this bridge for crossing the river. From there, we could expose to the scenery of Sangkhlaburi. In the morning, the sky was covered with the fog. Very nice spot.

Unfortunately, the bridge was damaged by flood. I was there in the morning. However, we didn't expect that the bridge would damaged by flood in the evening of that day. Luckily, we were not there when the bridge is damage. However, we feel very sorry for the damage. Hopefully, the bridge would be repaired very soon.

Only reviewing this now to let people know that the bridge was badly damaged by flooding recently. Shame.

“Bridge broken”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

The bridge is still a major feature of the town when viewed from water but the middle section was washed away during storms in July 2013 and currently cannot be crossed .
