One of the most historical locations of Thailand.
Plenty of ruins in a well maintained place, old temples and buildings that can be visited by just renting a bike and cycling around.
Beautiful statues and lots of history.

We visited the central and northern part of the historical park. The central part was great and had several different old temples and Buddha's which were all beautiful and in very good shape. The northern part however, after seeing the central part first, did not add very much. Especially considering the 100 baht entry fee.

There's so many temple ruins here it's hard to get round them all! We hired bikes from just outside the park for 30THB each for the day which helped. Each park is 100th per person entry, plus 10THB per bike. There's information boards for some of the bigger temples too. There was hardly anyone here when we went so you feel like you have the place to yourself. Some of the ruins are also outside the park so if you cycle down the road you can see them. We got the bus to Sukhothai and saw a few from that!

We travelled to Thailand in search of scenery and history, and fell in love with Sukhotai. We rented bikes (for around £0.80/day!) and spent a few hours just cycling around the whole ruins really soaking up the ambience and atmosphere. We were expecting it to be fantastic but were actually over-awed at how amazing and fabulous this place was, endless lost temples, lakes, walkways, friendly locals, and some amazing hidden finds if you cycle around (don't just visit the main central area - use the bikes to go to some of the other ruined areas away from the crowds). Unmissable Thai ruin we'd say.

Nowadays everyone know about the place that you must visit if you were in Sukhothai province, exactly Sukhothai Historical Park is the famous one in Thailand, life cultural and art were initially by here, I just recommended you may rent the bicycle to ride along the road in this historical park or take a tarm for visit many important areas inside this! You can take more 5 to 6 hours for more detail of Thai style and also spend half a day too.
