Clean and comfortable.

On the way from Lampang to Mahasarakam, we stayed one night at Ananda on December 18, 2011. We did not make reservation, but just walked in about 7 pm. Fortunately, there were few quests , we got one standard room at Baht 1,200.- per night, and unexpectively, as there were much rooms available, the front staff kindly upgraded our room to Deluxe Room at the same price !

The room was clean, large and very comfortable. The price included American Breakfast for two persons, or you could order other dishes but not over Baht 150.- per person. Staffs there were friendly and polite. Wi-fi was available. We were pleased and enjoy.
Date of stay: December 2011
Room Tip: Rooms near lobby are larger than rooms on the opposite side.

All facilities including the rooms is quite run down but the hotel can still maintain clean room, clean bathroom and air-con (which is a must in summer).
The restaurant serves nice, basic Thai dishes with good price. A recommended hotel for budget traveling.

Room tip: Try to get the room on second floor on the back of the hotel, not the one on street side.

The room'r Ok, not bad,
But service too bad. No reception, no room service at night after 8.00 pm. too early. The breakfast just a little no too much but ok for your money. However, bad service for breakfast
No bell boy, No room service when I called. Nobody picked up the phone at noon.

Hotel is located about 5 - 10 minutes out of Sukhothai center but easy and cheap by tuc-tuc. Staff is very friendly but it's hard to communicate not in Thai. Breakfast is not a buffet but ok. Rooms and hotel are breathe their age, but are clean and very nice. We stayed two nights and enjoyed it a lot.

I stayed overnight at this small charming hotel on the way to Chiangmai. Although the hotel is not quite new as their staff told me that the hotel opened for 6-7 years. the decoration of the exterior and lobby is so cool in the white color tone. the room decorate by using the simple materials but look elegant. the price i paid is THB 1200 as they promoted on their website is so cheap compared to what i got from other hotel. food is really delicious and cheap. However, there is no swimming pool. Breakfast is average. I really reccomend for a nice break at this hotel for a long trip to northern part of Thailand.

I stayed there for two nights while my wife's mother (a Sukhothai native) was in the hospital. It's in the new city, not very convenient to the Historical Park, but OK for the hospital. Room was small, dark, and smelled musty (common in tropical areas). Cleanliness was just OK. Very few guests. Very limited English spoken. One front desk clerk was unpleasant, but the maids and restaurant workers were very nice. I left my toiletry kit in the bathroom at checkout, and the maid chased me down in the lobby with it. Wifi is available for a price. Better than Pailin, but I'm still looking for a good hotel in Sukhothai - a Motel 6 would be nice :)
