As most of the reviews state, the food and service are average at best but the location unbeatable. Every time we thought of trying a different place in town, we found ourselves drawn back here because of the setting.

Our mince meat kebabs were decent, as were the salads. The cost was a little high in relative terms, wish I had known about the different priced menus, great comment below!

Sitting next to the pond was such a bliss. The food was OK, nothing special. Do not order white wine, horrible and expensive.

Service was a little slow, and my husband was a bit sick the next day - can't say it was the food, but our Uzbek tour guide did caution us to not eat kebabs from the restaurants that cater to tourists, as she stated that they are busy and may not take the time to cook the kebabs through properly! That said, our meals tasted good, and we enjoyed the atmosphere of sitting in the square around the pool. If I was ever in Bukhara again, I'd maybe revisit Lyabi-Hauz for a beer and some well cooked snacks.

The location is perfect, the pool beautiful and the place gets nicely crowded in the later hours. There is a live local band playing and some people are dancing after drinking vodka.

We spent many evenings in this restaurant and tried many of its dishes. The beef kebab, vegetable kebab, lamb stew and plof were our favourites. Those tasted good and had good value for the money. They also serve cheap tea and have locally a good selection of vodka.

But they also have dishes that were not worth of trying. Like the steel pot that has a fire under it. That dish was basically two meatballs, with dried fruits in them and FRENCH FRIES BOILED IN WATER with wegetables. The other odd dish was looking like a chicken leg, but was something else.

The service was excellent and we always felt like being special guests.

We had dinner here. Location next to the water is excellent. Food choice is ok, but food took long and was cold when arrived. There was some horrible and loud live music, fortunately we could get a table far enough from the noise, so is was not annoying.
