“Great small hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2013

A unique experience to stay in this lovely hotel - beautiful building restored from as mall madrasah. I really enjoyed sitting do nothing at the courtyard.
Great location, very close to the main tourist destination Lyabi Hauz.
Excelent breakfast for a small hotel.
We stayed for 2 nights only - love to come back again. One of our favourite hotel so far.

I booked this not really knowing what to expect. It was a bit difficult to find because the sign is very small. But what a gem! Walking through the entry everything was beautifully presented and we were welcomed with tea and snacks. In fact we had the same tea and snacks every day, free of charge. As well as a good internet connection, comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms with lots of hot water and secure parking.

For us this place was perfect, and we really enjoyed being in Bukhara due to this hotel.

Staying at the Amulet was the best part of our trip to Uzbekistan. It has lots of character and charme. The building has been lovingly restored and the staff are very helpful. Try the green tea in the courtyard. We will hopefully return one day.

Room Tip: Stay in the triple room on the ground floor

A lovely medrassah near the center of Bukhara. The rooms are modern and there is a lovely courtyard where you can relax and have breakfast. Tea and sweets are free throughout the day. I wish I could have stayed an extra night, but it was booked up.

Room Tip: Book ahead

Don't miss it. I found it to be the perfect blend of character (lovely old madrassa) and comfort (showers hot and strong, reliable internet and enough space to spread out). The breakfasts were excellent - different hot dishes each morning; the staff are faultless and even though I was worried about traffic noise (I had the single facing the road) it was no problem. The beds and pillows are typical Uzbeki so you really can't change that though the obliging shift manager brought another on request. The atmosphere is congenial with enough shared space to meet others or just retire comfortably to your own room. I can't speak highly enough of it - especially as I have just checked into a hotel in Khiva and it won't be getting a good review. So far, the best hotel I have stayed in. 5 stars to them in every respect.

This is a small eight bedroom historic former medressah. There is a nice feel to the place and staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is good, and luckily we avoided a street facing road since there was some traffic through the night.
Breakfasts were fine, but there are no evening meals which is a shame because we didn't find a decent place to eat during our three night stay. Minifza was the worst, Lyabi Hauz a bit better and Bella Italia which is the closest provided the best food.
The hotel can organise local tours, pick ups etc.

Perfect. great location, nice room, nice courtyard, really nice person to welcome us who spoke perfect French, fantastic breakfast.
Only points to watch out for is that some rooms should be noisy from the road.....ours wasnt....and their laundry service is outrageously expensive - 40 000 soms for what cosr 20 000 soms in a similar standard hotel, Antica, in Samarkand

Room Tip: Dont get one on the road
