A perfect place to venture from to see the markets, town square, and to people watch. The breakfast in a charming courtyard and our very comfortable room nicely appointed with local artisan works made our stay memorable.

I almost titled this review "Home Away from Home" until I noticed an earlier reviewer had used the title. This inn is ideal for many reasons, to wit:

The central courtyard is where one is welcomed with tea upon arrival, where one enjoys a delectable breakfast, where one uses one's iPad, where one relaxes to read, etc.;

The rooms are comfortable with good bathrooms and lighting;

The delectable breakfast includes egg, bread, yoghurt, marmalade and the best coffee I have tasted in Central Asia.

The staff is fluent in English (among other languages), is most pleasant and helpful. Kudos to Eugene, the manager, who helped with an iPad problem.

I could go on, but it suffices that my stay for three evenings was most enjoyable, and I would definitely return here on my next trip to Bukhara.

The B&B is located perfectly in the heart of Bukhara close to Labi Havuz. The friendly well English speaking stuff welcomed me with a tea in the beautifull garden. The rooms are traditionally decorated with Suzani. Good place to stay.

The Salom Inn is the perfect place to stay in Bukhara if you want to be right in the heart of this special city. I strongly recommend it if you prefer warm personal attention, a local and interesting architectural style and excellent B&B-type accommodation to the anonymity of larger hotels. There's a central courtyard for relaxing and all the rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated with locally-made furniture and textiles. Our group all experienced the Salom Inn as a real home base while we were in Bukhara.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are perhaps a bit more private.

Salom Inn is two level B & B situated in the historic part of Bukhara, once known as the Jewish quarter. Initially it was a privately owned home; the present owner converted it into a bed and breakfast but retained many of the old Bukhari architectural features. The comfortable rooms are beautifully decorated with local textiles. The hotel serves welcome green tea and table-service breakfast in the courtyard, or the inside dining room, if it is chilly. The one-day laundry is excellent and quite a bargain. You couldn't ask for a better location. As it only has about 20 rooms, it's best to book early especially during peak season of spring and fall.

Room Tip: I traveled in a group of 11 people and no one had any complaints about their rooms.

I used to work in Salom Inn and Salom Travel and the B&B has been always welcoming, clean and cozy. Fresh breakfast in the courtyard with green tea and coffee from cotton painted cups. Clean and beautifully decorated rooms. Only here everything is handmade from Ikat curtains to the wooden beds and curved ceilings. If I visit Bukhara I will definitely stay here because I know everything is made with love and great experience of Raisa Gareeva- the owner and a great person who will charm you and her team in Salom Travel who speak excellent English will provide the best tourist services and the sense of comfort in the foreign country.

Room Tip: Get a room on a second floor

Very nice hotel, big rooms, located in the heart of the city, delicious breakfast, welcome tea, piano... and a very kind and lovely staff! We had a wonderful time here!

We'd like also to recommend the "Salom travel" company. Any question/wish you have, they'll arrange it for you.
