Two nights were spent exploring the Ninh Binh area and we stayed at Ngoc Anh 2. Whilst not as fancy as some of the hotels in the bigger cities this hotel made up for it with good old friendly and fantastic customer service. The staff were great and brilliant in assisting us with motor bike guides and tourist bus transfer back to Hanoi. Breakfast was simple but adequate to start the day - after all the best food is out there in the little restaurants and on the street. We spent 1 and 1/2 days with motorbike guides organised through the hotel and had the best experience of our trip in these two days. We can thoroughly recommend this as a way to see the countryside of Vietnam and how the people go about their daily lives in the more rural areas.
Thanks to Quynh and all the wonderful staff and associated guides for making this the highlight of our trip to Vietnam.

Room Tip: deluxe room was huge. We were at the street side of the hotel and were woken early by the morning exercises and news. But best to get going early before the heat of the day any way!

We stayed here July last year we were very impressed with the location, not a 5* hotel but it was immaculate and the owners were superb. I have never stayed anywhere before where nothing was a problem. It may not have the most fantastic amenities but that suited us just fine, location and people in the area made up for it. If you enjoy feeling part of the culture this hotel is for you. Their grand daughter is beautiful and the little place next door was ideal to sit and watch the world go by (on the small chairs) with a cold beer. The owner also helped us book our forward journey to Hue using the night bus, this was a much cheaper option than the train. Thank you all.

We stayed for a night in ninth binh and rented motorbikes from the hotel, for which we got a nice 1.5 day deal instead if having to rent them for two days.
The owner is very nice. We stayed in the old hotel, which was still good enough for us. Breakfast was good, prepared freshly for us. Room was not new, but clean. But also the price was very low. So really nothing to complain.
Ninh binh was also really worth the stay

I'll admit this hotel didn't blow me away like some others have. It is in a good location with a lot of street food choices within walking distance and right next door I had the best Vietnamese coffee I have ever had. The staff are friendly, helpful and the owner speaks great English. We got a standard room which was quite pricey considering the room was small (but clean). Breakfast is very basic- egg, bread, jam. Overall I had a good experience.

After a tip from TA we booked the Ngoc anh 2 and were not disappointed. The hotel is only 2 years old. It is clean and modern and very good value for money. Phuong, the manager is well spoken and a wealth of knowledge regarding all things Ninh binh. They arranged a private pickup from our Halong bay cruise at a very good rate and their communication with bookings etc... were excellent NB and it's surrounding beauty was the highlight of our trip and this hotel played a very large part of our enjoyment.

Room Tip: The main noise is the 5 am community wake up call to exercise from external speakers. No getting around that so just pull the pillow over your head and go back to sleep :-)
