We had a lovely stay here, very nice staff, friendly and very helpful. Not far from the Ferry Port. Good breakfast and restaurant . Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Good value for money. Close also to bars, other restaurants and cafes. Beds were firm, and the pillows for my liking were way too hard, but it was certainly no problem for the staff to change mine to a lovely soft pillow. Laundry was very efficient and a very reasonable price

This hotel is situated in a great location & is right opp. the sea where 1 can have nice long walks in the evening & night after dinner. Also has access to a nice swimming pool at the Rex hotel which is just joined to this hotels wall. The food was pretty much good & the room service was nice too. Its a little noisy if you get the sea facing room but I had the pool facing room so it was great. The free wifi in the room is great & super fast. The staff always treats you with a smile & pretty friendly. The only drawback of this hotel is that it doesn't have an elevator.

Room Tip: Choose the room facing the swimming pool for nice sound sleep

We asked a local Expat living 8yrs in Vung Tau where the best massage could be found in Vung Tau. He recommended the Foot Massage establishment at the Royal Hotel and he wasnt wrong.
For 120,000dong for the foot and body massage complete with hot river stones was worth every cent. The respected tip for the girls is 100,000dong bringing the total prive to 220,000dong about $10.15 Bargain at the best of times. Can highly recommend it. As a well known Aussie TV personality always said, ''Do yourself a favour'' and get along to the Royal Hotel Foot Massage at the rear of the hotel.
PS: Women are most welcome too, so take the missus, she'll love you for it.
It is part of the Royal Hotel but the entrance is at the rear of the hotel.

Room Tip: This is a review of the foot massage only as we didn't stay in the hotel.

this place has an amazing location, and has access to a super cool pool at the Rex hotel. only negative is the really really loud disco music in the back of the hotel. WHY?? food was fine (a lot of korean food), and staff were super friendly.

Not a bad hotel to stay, can be a bit noisy though as the bars etc in close proxmity can get a bit loud. Friendly staff and reasonably central location for restaurants etc. Bathroom and furniture was a little dated but clean. The free wifi was also a plus, quite fast and reliable.

Quite a nice hotel, affordable and only 30 metres to the sea front. The staff are friendly and competent. Room and bathroom more that adequate. No elevator but it is worth giving one of the porters 30,000 Viet Nam Dong (approx 1 UK pound) to carry your luggage Tea/coffee making facility provided. Shares a swimming pool with the adjacent Rex Hotel, although it is very clean and most enjoyable. There is a kiddies 'spa' to the side of the pool and also a bar (best to bring your own drinks as it can be quite expensive - there is no problem). Poolside furniture is very good although limited - so get a lounger early!

The Royal is within walking distance to either the beach - go left, or the cable car ride up the mountain - go right.

Only problem is the external noise. The hotel is situated next to a coffee shop and can be quite noisy especially at weekends, and the boy racers on their motorcycles.

Room Tip: On a weekday take a sea view room.
