Have stayed here many times over the last 12 years, quaint architecture but looking a little tired and worn now, especially in some of the rooms. Bathrooms can be a little pokey.

Good location in reasonable area, close to Front Beach and the some of the better bars and restaurants.

Avoid the rooms at the front, can be noisy.

Dependable service, but nothing special. At the price, it's not a steal but it's not unreasonable.

Stayed here for one night...wasn't worth the money. Bathtub has a hole, carpet has stains, and room is small. Heavy traffic outside and the honking guarantees a bad night sleep. Hotel doesn't even have a converter! Try other bigger hotels instead of this...

After reading the other review on Trip Advisor I called the hotel to ask if they needed a marriage certificate and they said no. On arrival we were really pleased with not only the hotel but the staff too. We stayed in one of the suites - the hotel has a lovely colonial feel with high celings, big rooms and comfy beds. We were disappointed to be only staying for one night. The pool and restaurant were lovely (although we didn't eat in the restaurant except for breakfast - we wish we had have done!)

Above all, we didn't need a marriage certificate (we're not married!) and they even accepted my driving license rather than a passport.

It looked like a nice hotel to stay though they asked us to show our marriage certificate otherwise we have to get 2 separate rooms. We have been travelling around Vietnam and it was the first time we were asked for such a thing. So couples, especially Vietnamese and Westerner couples and who are still in the dating stage, consider to stay somewhere else. :-)
