Came here from Ubud to do the sunrise trekking tour and were accompanied by about 200 other people. The guides provide flashlights as you have to start climbing up really early. The way up is hardly a way, just a small rough path up the mountain: Get solid shoes for this, we witnessed several people straining their ankles and having trouble with the path. Once you reach the top (with the rest of the crowd) you have to fight for a good place have a good view. If you get one the view is great! Way back down that path was a pain in the bum, and you can barely shift your focus towards the surroundings without falling down. Overall a decent sunrise/view but way to busy and overhyped, there are places without that much hassle and more amazing views in Indonesia!
