I stayed for 2 days 1 night. The first impression of this hotel is very old. But when I've entered the lobby feels very luxurious at all. Check-in process was very long and when entering the room there was pungent smell. But fortunately I got a room with a pool view. Staff are friendly and politely. Breakfast menu is very less varied and less flavor. Because of the price offered is quite cheap.

Very disappointed in our stay here. The rooms are old the carpet had many cigarette burn holes in it, the carpet was damp outside the bathroom as the shower leaks. this is a floor you sure don't want to put bare feet on. On check out when paying bill we were charged nearly double what the room service menu said the cost of beer was, we were told old menu. had one beer from mini bar which we told them about they then said we had coke and cashews which we did not. Will certainly never stay here again or recommend it.

Room Tip: Don't stay in any of the rooms, lots of better places in Pekanbaru to stay.

Really great value for money! It’s about the same quality as the Grand Kemang in Jakarta but about a third of the price!

I've stayed in many hotels in second-tier cities in Asia before and generally find them wanting but this hotel was great! It's old but kept in very good condition.

Just had dinner in the restaurant and it was 55,000 IDR for a Mei Goreng, less than US$5.00 and it was delicious and portions were very generous!

I had some problems with the air-conditioning though, it was turned down to 10 degrees but still wasn’t able to cool the room!

The view from my third-floor room just looked out onto the roof area with a structure on the roof barely a metre from the window and a flood light so I left the curtains closed.

Staff were helpful and friendly and the waitress in the restaurant was very helpful and attentive.

The water pressure in the shower was so strong, it felt like I was getting a head massage underneath it! The adjustment know to turn the water from typhoon mode to spray was a little stiff though and needed two hands to adjust.

I needed an adapter so asked reception but they didn’t have any loan units but sold me one for 20,000 IDR, around US$1.70 which I thought was a bargain!

I was in Pekanbaru for a conference and the conference hall was very large and service was good here.

The garden and swimming pool were very attractive and inviting but unfortunately, I didn’t have the time or opportunity to try these.

I’d certainly return here the next time I’m in Pekanbaru.

Room Tip: I stayed in 314 so don't stay in this room because the air-conditioning doesn't work but tal...

Travelling back to Singapore from a more remote part of Sumatra, I stayed one night at the Aryaduta Hotel in Pekanbaru. My first word of advice is not to be put off by the price. The rooms were alarmingly inexpensive. But the rooms were really very good. The grounds were very nice as well. The staff definitely aimed to do everything they could to accommodate your requests. The AC wasn't great - if you like arctic air after a day out in the heat, but the room cooled eventually. I recommend this hotel as a great place for a very good price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool. I was facing the street and the street noise does abate, but it is l...

Nice hotel, fairly convenient from airport. room was a decent size with a good shower, very clean and the staff at the front desk were helpful and professional. Food in the restaurant was of good quality and really good value for money. Did get a bit of a shock at 6.15 in the morning as there was some event happening outside and a sound system was blasting out what was actually some very good music.

Well appointed quiet spot in the government /banking area - so a little out of the central action and bustle. The 8th and 9th floors facing poolside are pleasant.Widely used by government departments. You will find that any noise from functions finishes early. Use metered taxis only from the front if you want to shop. The front desk staff are helpful yet this is clearly more a business hotel than a tourist hot spot. Its not jakarta in details but then neither is pricing. The town of course has great seafood spots but you will need wheels to get to them..

Room Tip: Pool facing side

After almost 5 years i came back to this hotel again, yes it is getting old, they did some furniture upgrade for the deluxe room but many more new hotels are available in this city too
The swomming pool is very big, maybe the biggest in town
Located a bit out from the centre,
Makesure if stay on saturdays as by early morning on sundays at 0630 the big loud speaker will wake you up and street are close a car free day, lots of peoplr jogging and just walking
So try to avoid the street view, choose the swimming pool less noise
The restaurant at the lobby is good with many local food
